I will miss Rush. He is one of the best I have ever listened to.
He had a term for certain people on this forum. He called them “Low Information Voters”. You know the ones that either don’t have all the information to make a good decision as to who to vote for because they only listen to the main stream biased media. Or the ones that vote with their emotions despite the facts and the truth that stare them right in the face.

Vaya con dios, Rush.... you’ll be sorely missed but your words will continue to ring loud and clear! Thank you, patriot! :(

Never listened to him, never into that radio thing. Did start a book of his but never finished it.
But, his influence is overwhelming to the conservative population.
Democrats are probably dancing about now. Their hatred for Rush was astounding.

Oh my. Sad news.

Hawaii News Now and the AP should be ashamed of what they said about him. Half truths and lies. These diaper rags of journalism have no decency, no tolerance.

He called himself an entertainer, but his rants during his three-hour weekday
radio show broadcast on nearly 600 U.S. stations shaped the national political
conversation, swaying ordinary Republicans and the direction of their party.
How is that not entertainment, unless you're a snowflake who gets offended by the truth?
Colbert, John Stewart, Trevor Noah, .... how are these people labeled late night show comedians when their content has been 80-99% political? Most of their schtick was about as funny as a heart attack.
Rush was absolutely an entertainer. "Talent on loan from God." "Doing this with half my brain tied behind my back." Femi-Nazis. Environmental Whacko updates. "American held hostage: Day xx" after Obama won the race. He most times demonstrated the ridiculousness of the Left by quoting them exactly for all to hear.
His sarcasm was 2/3 of the show. If you don't speak sarcasm, such as the woke Left, then you won't get the humor.
I found in the early days, he provided news and information that you just couldn't count on finding from any other source. Now, with the Internet, that's less true if you know where to look.
I'll miss him. He was the embodiment of capitalism and true conservatism. I was sad when he announced his total loss of hearing, but then showed even that was just a minor inconvenience as he received implants to restore his hearing.
RIP Great Maha-Rushie. :(

I've been listening to Rush since the 80's, when I could when I was working.
in the "Real world".
Once I figured out how to get internet to my shop, I streamed his show daily.
He was one of a kind. The world was better off for what he contributed to it.

Even though I never was a radio listener, those quips were mainstream conservative fodder and great fun enraging liberals with them.
I use Low-info Voters frequently now, also enraging to liberals. The man left us with a treasure of sound bites.

I never liked his show but his influence is undeniable. Unfortunate that cancer got to him

Never was a big fan of Rush but he did start the working class media revolution so everyone from Crowder to Tucker to Tim Pool owes him a debt of gratitude. My youth is filled with memories of job sites in deep blue states with EIB blasting in the background. It was a bit of a middle finger to our overlords when they would show up randomly for a surprise inspection.

I think the majority of Rush fans found him in the late 80s, early 90s -- before he ventured into the world of television. Those were his best years, IMO. His segments were fresh, unique and for the most part completely Politically Incorrect. He poked fun at everyone, but primarily the grifters and liars in positions of power or celebrity.
After the Clinton years, his show started to become less fresh and somewhat repetitive. Filling 3 talk radio hours for most people was impossible. He was able to do it without being scripted. He had his "stack of stuff" that he found to talk about, and whatever the callers added. I often found that the things he talked about were a week or more ahead of the Main Stream Media (another term I first heard on his show). That is, if the MSM ever covered it at all.
Every product he promoted, and every Liberal boycott he talked about, made money for those businesses. Listeners loved to put their money where his mouth was!
AM radio in the 80s was almost dead. Even newer radios were starting to be sold with only FM bands. Then Rush gave AM radio -- and talk radio specifically -- a defibrillator jolt! He was asked often why he stayed with AM, and he usually answered that it's because AM stayed with him. They supported what he was doing. Imagine trying to host a 3-hour talk show on any FM station. Not likely.
Three hours a day, 5 days a week, and special appearances in between. Yet, he was always prepared and able to recall names, dates and places with better ease than most people I know.
You know he was the best, because everyone on the left tried time after time to kick him off the air. You know you're successful when your detractors want you shut down.
I'm really thankful Trump awarded him the Presidential Medal of Freedom in front of the world at his State of the Union Address one year ago this month. He deserved that, and so much more for the good he did for the country.
Every time Big Tech says they don't have the ability to affect elections, think about how many people they've censored for trying to do just that, and how many wanted Rush to be silenced. There's a reason for that.
