I pretty much agree, however.
These public schools now are more like
propaganda mills than education
resources.
If I could have had the choice, I would take my
money at the time and sent
my child to a private school.
Rather than give the money to the government
and sent her to public school.
Full disclosure, all my university was private schools,
so I have a slight bias.

Of course, unless something has changed, you are not allowed to keep your taxes paid for publik skools for personal discretion. 

Want to send your kids to a good school?  Pay it yourself.

Remember being shocked how many kids in east Honolulu were going to private schools, a myriad of little mothers every morning, driving the kids to school.
Seems there were several near the Manoa tech center I worked at.   Traffic was a dream on non-school days.
