Yup, we need to find ways to defeat China.  Our greatest enemy.  Though doing a biological attack will invite the use of nuclear weapons.  Not sure if even china is stupid enough to do that.

I would like to know how a war between 2 advanced countries would pan out.  Like guided missile strikes on both sides day and night, which would cause huge losses on both sides.  Pretty much no FOB or base would be safe.  I mean it's almost like MAD and nukes.

Can't use Iraq or A-stan because they don't have as much tech as China, Russia, Germany, UK, etc...

The thing is, the article states we already have developed a plan to defeat China if they were to attack Taiwan. The problem is we are not investing in the adders necessary to implement that plan.

That you know of... :hmm:

It’s been over a year since I dropped my projects in Guam for my current program, but I can say they gots “stuffs”.

Every so often, they have meetings of Commanders of the major installations/groups in the Pacific. I’ve been to a couple. Quite interesting. Remember the movie Law Abiding Citizen, how Clive was a “brain”. That’s not that far off from reality.  :o

Watch the end of the movie War Games. Don’t need nukes to escalate.

That is exactly what the article says. The Chinese would deny our access to traditional bases and possibly destroy our carriers. The plan that we developed to defeat China involves a lot of nontraditional methodologies, using assets that we currently don’t invest much if anything into. So we have a plan. And we have the money. But we don’t divert some of that money into the tools we need to win. What does that really say? C’mon and take Taiwan. We will either fight a losing war or we just stand back and allow China to take them.

I’m only going by what the article says. I don’t have any first hand knowledge. Otherwise they would have to kill me.

So here is a question. Do we have any unmanned attack subs like the article states?

Did you see the recent StarAd article about “imbalance” in the Pacific of Chinese and US carriers?

Yeah, not used to folks speaking based on knowledge.

I dunno nothing about that. Unless you count dolphins.  O0

#tinfoil time.  Probably I already mentioned a year ago.  China already began a biological war, but not in the traditional sense like Sadaam on the Kurds.

China lost the trade war with the US. We were selling them soy, rice, tariffs, etc... It would only be a matter of time b4 other countries follow cause we showed what we can do.  So China would lose to those countries as well. So what does China do, unleash a virus in their country (collateral damage).  How come Beijing wasn't as affected compared to Wuhan.  Covid spread across the entire US and no state was safe.

Then it spreads internationally and everyone's economy tanks.  But ours not as much as they hoped thanks to Trump and no thanks to people like Ige shutting down a state from their sole source of economic income.

Inb4 dolphins can assign their own species.

During WW2, the Russians used dogs with explosives strapped to them to rush and suicide bomb German tanks.  The problem was that they trained the dogs Russian fuel in German look a like tanks that the dogs got used too the scent of.  So when they released the dogs, they went for the Russian tanks instead.  The program was terminated shortly after.

Need a paid account. Why don’t you give me the Readers Digest version. Let me guess, they will have 3 or 4 carriers to our one that is in the region?

IMO, there is almost no chance of any super powers going head to head on each others' land.  It will be like Syria or Vietnam, where some other country suffers.  Having the battle occur on ones own land suppresses the population's support of the war.  It's one reason (the main one?) we dropped nukes on Japan -- to turn public opinion against their leadership's wishes to continue fighting.  Fighting remotely makes the war a purely political proposition for the opposing sides with only members of the military and their families seen as directly affected.

Having said that, use of chemical and biological weapons is against international law.  If the US used such a weapon, we'd have to do so very covertly -- in a way that can't be tied to our military.  No US president wants to answer for warcrime charges.

No, we are in an age of unconventional warfare.  Cyberattacks, economic attacks, and disruption of the political processes will have more success than direct armed conflict.  It's like two competing corporations using every trick they can to cause the other to fail without resorting to an overt and direct assault.

When was the last time the US was invaded?  Last week -- from immigrants marching through Mexico.  That's one tactic I see as being not only unanswered, but assisted, by the Liberal Leftist Socialist elites now in power.  But, it's subtle.  Overwhelming our economy, welfare, judicial, educational and infrastructure resources with waves of immigrants who can easily create an untenable situation to deal with.  Great Britain is seeing that firsthand with the immigrant population there.  What if many of the immigrants are being promised compensation to gather information or engage in other acts that undermine our security?  Security of electric grids, transportation, elections, food & water supplies, etc.

It's been long predicted that our Republic would not fall to a foreign power, but through people within working against the country and taking advantage of the freedoms, liberties and laws we created to keep us safe from government oppression.

Are nukes even necessary? We have already seen potentially serious cyber attacks in terms of lives lost. Poison our water with the stroke of a key and kill thousands, for example. If they have infiltrated some of our systems they could grind the economy to a halt or take out some basic infrastructure.

But just like nukes, whatever they do to us we could probably do to them just as bad, if not worse. I would place a hefty bet that we have software in place to cause all sorts of havoc within China.

You can't ignore a serious threat from nukes which exist in the hands of our enemies.  Just because we are less likely to be hit by nukes vs. other means is no justification for letting our guard down in all other areas.

So, you have a guard dog, alarm system, motion detector lights and surveillance system.  Does that mean you don't need a firearm, too?

What measure are you using to say that China lost the trade war with the US empire?  The Chinese economy is the most stable functioning economy, on the planet, right now.

How come Beijing wasn't as affected compared to Wuhan.
China has some of the most effective Covid-19 counter-measures in the World.  Their province/city shutdowns, contact tracing, and community testing are way effective and efficient compared to the US empire.

Covid spread across the entire US and no state was safe.
According to some, on this very forum, Covid-19 was not as lethal, as presented.  Hence, if their interpretation was true, how could any part of America been in any real danger?

Then it spreads internationally and everyone's economy tanks.
The international spreading of Covid-19 is a byproduct of globalization.  Not China's fault.

But ours not as much as they hoped thanks to Trump and no thanks to people like Ige shutting down a state from their sole source of economic income.
This depends on whether the real threat of Covid-19 was real or not.  In any case, China was not responsible, for the actions the US empire took, during the beginning of Covid-19.  The resulting economic fallout was solely the blame of the empire's political authority.

I "believe" (can't provide facts) that that's only part of the story.  That and changes of Command brings many changes at Davidson's level.  I've gotten to know, or at least have met with him in person a couple of times, his replacement a little through a program I am working on now.  Build up in the Pacific has been going on for a while.  Interesting that the spotlight has been on the CVNs lately.  I've given up my projects in Guam over 2 years ago now, but still hear from them from time to time.

Haha. Even for me, most do the stuff I hear is either “old news” or many levels of filtered. It’s rare these days that I am anywhere near current.

I was just pointing out that usually news that makes it through sources like StarAd, Yahoo, etc typically are spun by and angle, as wells as folks taking it in many different directions.

My post was not to say that we should give up our nukes. Rather I was asking the question of whether nukes would be necessary to destroy us. I was saying cyber attacks could potentially so debilitate us a nuke would not be necessary.
