I think now is the time to buy what you want but diversify in gold, silver, guns, ground and damn the 401k and IRAs.
Thoughts on perception management?

Interest rates will only go higher, so get land if/while you can. I was fortunate enough to close back in May with a nice low APR.

Everyone I advised to cash out their retirement accounts and buy Bitcoin are sending me hate mail now. I think if you can afford to buy 1 or 2 Bitcoin with your retirement savings and take advantage of Bitcoin lending could retire early in Hawaii.

A little late for that. Unless you recommended it before the major spike.

where do you get crypto from? In my cursory search the sites don't allow you to buy if you live here.

That was great advice then. 👍 I made a few people decent money recommending it around, sent couple kids to college. Unfortunately I didn't have much money to invest so I want able to benefit as much. Right now I think it's a bit late for the bandwagon. With over 1 trillion in market cap, I wonder how much more it can go up.

Just be aware that there are a lot of scam sites. And you won't know until you try and sell it and no coins are there.

Have "friends" that came across that. Or also how to "cash out". From what I've heard from reliable sources, the transactions are not that easy. I think most of my "friends" ended up selling off their shares to effectively cash out. So methinks there's some bs'ing going on. . . well, there always is, but to varying extents.

My 1 coworker has been selling his fractions to other friends so it's easy for him to cash out. But I do have another coworker who got scammed out of $5K back when the coins where going for about $8K.

A couple of buddies got in early. They asked me to jump in a few years ago, maybe more. Anyways, it was fractions. I dabbled a little, but not significant.
Some other buddies are into cards and other memorabilia. That market is kah-ray-zee! I used to dabble in that too maybe 20 years ago. I have a Jordan auto that I pulled and was worth maybe $60 when I got it. I've since had it graded and stuff. Now the same card is going for $5+! Whoa!!!

It's crazy the alternative markets that's popular now. Same guy who has bitcoin also has shoes that doubled in value. We talking Yeezy type that go for $800+. He also is buying cards as well. The card market to me is more risky because it has longer down periods.
They even have something that are like digital artwork that only 1 digit print is made. Elons baby mama Grimes is a big investor in it.

Yeah. That and its SUPER fickle. My buddies had a Tiger Woods auto that was going for around 10k in the mid-2000s. Then he had his 9-iron incident and it plummeted. I heard that card is back up to something like 30k+. One buddy bought one for like 3k back in 2004ish.
One of my best friends is really into cards and stuff. Another friend works part time at a local card shop. When we meet up for drinks and stuff, they tell me stories. Some folks flip stuff quickly, some hold onto cards, etc. They know I have a Jordan and Tiger auto and regularly ping me to see if I want to sell.

I recall reading about North Korea dabbling in bitcoin after Trump was squeezing them on sanctions.
I never heard of nor cared to find out more about bitcoin after reading about that.

First column how much I paid for it on amazon. Second column is what it costs on amazon now.
All these increased minimum 100%. The one that increased almost 900% (34 --> 340) was a Christmas gift.

Kind of off topic, but does anyone have any BTC they would sell for fiat? Looking to buy a little bit more.

I personally don't invest much in the stock market as, to me it is not very "Free" and is highly manipulated
by "insiders", plus I'm retired and can't tolerate a big economic blow expecting that in twenty years
I'll recover and profit.
Real estate, Bonds, and survival preps are my investments.
Having said that, were I Thirty years old, I'd invest a portion of my money in these guys.
