Title: Help Needed: I need to borrow a 308 AR metal mag briefly

Hi everyone,

I have 2 older CMMG MK-3 lowers that both will NOT accept the 20LR 308 PMAG I just bought. I can't even insert the mag 1''!  :-[  If someone has a metal 308 AR magazine I can briefly insert into both  of my lowers (to check fitment before I call CMMG); I would greatly appreciate it.

If I'm not mistaken, weren't the older CMMG lowers set up for G3 mags? Do you have a picture of the actual lower?

Thanks for the reply! This morning I tried the PMAG again and I got it to go in and drop free :) I guess I was inserting it not forcefully enough and at a bad angle.  Thanks for your help.

Yeah, I've seen pictures of the lower that accepts G3 mags; the mag well has a steeper side cut than the regular 308 lowers. 

Now all I have to do is find 100rds of brass cased .308 FMJ for the barrel brake in.
