Does anyone know if the magpul backpacker rear stock work with the hunter forend?
Tried googling and watch kind of a lot of vids but never found a definitive answer.
I just purchased a tac innov. stripped receiver (take down model) and i like the mlok on the forend and the storage in the rear. I doubt I'll be breaking it down during transport.. I have a car lol.
Also what do y'all think of tactical innovations 10/22 parts such as bolts, and trigger groups (all backordered) ?
Planning to buy a oem ruger barrel. Dont need a sub moa 75yrd 22. 6 inches at 50 is plenty good for me. Plus I finally have a rifle (soon to have) where I can use my mro. Recently switched back to my h2 for ar15 lol. So the mro was sitting, collecting dust. Lol

I have both. And I am pretty sure the hunter handguard will function with the backpacker stock. But it will not store/nest together like the backpacker forend.
I actually have an extra hunter handguard if you want to try it out. $10 if you want it. Lmk. It is black color.

Also I like the tactical innovations stuff I got so far. I have the nitride 16.5” threaded oem profile barrel and the black nitride bolt assembly.

I will definitely let you know bout that stock. I'm torn between what barrel I want first. If I go with the volquartsen carbon fiber TD barrel, I'll grab that forend off of you lol. Then there's the oem fde cerakote or tac solutions x ring I also want but if I go that route.. I would like the midwest industries mlok. Lol. So far those are the 3 barrels I want since it comes with all the hardware TD parts... Minus the takedown/action screw.
Ive never pieced together a 10/22 before. Ive only owned a ruger sr22 pistol in 22lr. And I spent the past 4 or 5 days looking up parts and damn my mind is goin crazy. So much crap for it.

What receiver are you using for the build? This is a 10/22 takedown build?
I used a ruger receiver for my first build. And a Brownells railed receiver for my second build. Brownells receiver is nice. I think it’s better than the ruger receiver. But I haven’t had a chance to shoot the Brownells receiver build yet.

The reciever I purchased is a bronze tactical innovations stripped reciever. Id prefer a non takedown as I'm finding out most takedown parts are a bit more expensive lol. I'll prob never take it apart anyways.
The only thing I'm finding thats troublesome is that the top of the reciever is flat. Like completely flat. All the picatinny rails I see for sale... Egw, factory, even all the cheapo amazon ones are all curved at the base. Even watching several youtube vids, I see that oem 10/22 recievers have a slight curve to them.
So I'm leaning towards the magpul backpacker rail optic mount thing. :-\
