Political assassination, without trial nor a declaration of war are typical illegal actions of evil empires and/or rouge states.

Such barbarity are not akin to those, who follow the rule-of-law.

The only laws I follow is laws passed to me by God.
10 really simple ones.
All other laws are laws of man, and thus subjective.
Subject to violation,  if I can get away with it and
if it seems necessary to do so.
I render unto Caesar that which is Caesar's only when I have to.
I don't see why countries act any differently.
If I had an enemy that threatened to kill me,  I would not
hesitate to act in self defense, if I can get away with it without
undue repercussions. AKA known as Chess.
eg Moslems are lucky,  I'll never be president of the USA.

Live by the sword die by the sword. Israel is living like we are going to have their back forever, but they are sorely mistaken. When a population riddled with vaccine injuries loses it's Daddy Warbucks all their neighbors are going to remember this kind of stuff that they did as well as the taunting in the media, and the revenge is probably going to get really ugly.

They are strong, much stronger than anyone else in the region.  Also our good ally.  Good on them for doing the world a favor and themselves a favor. Iran with nukes is bad.  Fuck Iran. I hope they do more against our enemies.

I am pretty sure there was a trial.  It just that the defendant didn't show up.  In the U.S. its called a default judgement.  My advice, never ignore a summons, the end result could be devastating.

Who says Iran or any other nation can't have the right to defend themselves?

The only favor a non-nuclear armed Iran provides is to the US empire.  Without nuclear arms, an illegal invasion of Iran, by US imperial forces, will always be on the table.

North Korea was very keen to observe the illegal invasions of Afghanistan, Iraq, Libya, and Syria.  All those nations did not possess a nuclear arms deterrent, to US imperial-led military invasion, and their respective citizenry paid (Afghanistan, Libya, & Syria) and are still paying the price (Iraq).

Fuck Iran. I hope they do more against our enemies.
What did Iran ever do to America?  If I recall, original sin was the illegal overthrow, of the secular democratically elected Mohammad Mosaddegh that was orchestrated, by the US empire in 1953.  Its extremely obscene, for Americans to hate Iran today, for the events that transpired in 1979, as those events was a revolution that ended US imperial puppet rule.

It's called being tried "in absentia."

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trial_in_absentia

More often, in a criminal trial, a case can be postponed if the defendant can be forced to appear via a bench warrant.  in a civil case, you're right.  If one party shows and the other doesn't, and there is evidence notice was served, the judge can issue a default judgement in the attending party's favor.

Trial in absentia isn't that common.  Many countries don't allow this based on the rights of the accused to be allowed to defend themselves.

Normally, if the law allows, and if the defendant is disruptive or voluntarily leaves or refuses to attend the trial, and the charges are serious enough, the trial may continue without the defendant's presence.  If the defendant has legal representation, that person can continue to attend the trial without his client.

I'm pretty sure if Joe Biden was tried and found guilty of child sniffing in a Liberian court and they sent a technical of naked cannibals armed with machetes and Ak's after him it would not play as cooly as Israeli war crimes in the media.

Apparently we are back to Might Makes Right, which always comes back to bite you in the hemorrhoids.
