Need a scope for a 7mm Mag and 30'06.
I'll never use the two at the same time so I'll swap.
I'm a cheap guy.
In Hawaii most targets will be two legged( JUST MESSING WITH YOU!), on the mainland mostly 4 legged.
Thoughts?

Price range?
Typical distance shooting?

On my 7mm Mag I originally had a 4x Redfield which was ok. I then acquired a 270 Win which had a 2 to 7 Leupold and swapped scopes. I was very happy with the 2-7 Leupold and didn’t need any more power than that for hunting on Molokai. The 2x and brightness of the Leupold was especially good for nighttime. LOL.

Swapping is a great way to have great glass for your rifles at a more affordable cost. Than having dedicated scopes for each rifle. With that being said cheap and best usually don't go together.
As Drck1000 said you will need to give better details about what you are expecting/ want from the scope and at what price point are you ok with spending.
There's a lot to consider when considering glass for your rifle but I'd recommend not being cheap on the scope. Just my humble opinion
Aloha

I left it pretty open on purpose.
Not much sense putting a top of the line
Steiner on a Sporterized P17.
or a Remington model 700 getting a
Amazon "sniper" scope for $130.
Leupold it is.
Now the hard part, finding something in stock.
ThankX!

Amazon has most of the variable Leupold scopes for $300. I am thinking of replacing the red dot on my AR15 with the 1.5-4 variable.
