Wow that's crazy. Wouldn't mind trying to build one. I wonder what it shoots though. Probably bbs I would assume.  Someone should try it out, if I had money I would

I wonder how much the Lego sets would cost To build these. As lego can get quite pricy.

Better not bring them to school for show-and-tell.

Sure beats what I used to build out of Lincoln Logs as a kid.

I used to think they built those fantastic things from regular Lego kit stuff, you know, all rectangular pieces, double-size, half size, some parts with radiused corners, and that was all.

I thought that was all quite miraculous!

Now I discover that they're specific kits for specific objects, with custom-molded parts for special areas on the models.

My world just crashed around me.  <snif>

Actually, one of my favoritest toys as a kid was the super Erector Set with the electric motor with two-speed reversing gearbox and pulleys and whatnot.

And even without all the warnings you'd probably see nowadays, I managed to not swallow any small parts.

Terry,

Guess you've never visited a LEGO store? You really should walk into one just for the experience. I have a nephew that I take to the LEGO store near him everytime I see him. It is a blast to see the store from a kids perspective. Anyway, the shelves are filled full of specialized LEGO projects. All with special parts just for that figure. Then of course there is LEGO Land. Google it. I dare you!

"You can never have enough LEGOS!!!!" from my nephew.

^ "They shoot Lego pieces."

They actually shoot things out of them?

Oh, my, my, can't have that!  Why, you might put someone's eye out.

Rubber-band powered, or what?

I noticed the Federal Mothernment recently harassed the manufacture to take buckyballs off the market:

On the other hand (Slightly Graphic, but not too bad):

Makes me wonder how far we have to go to make sure the parents are watching their children.

They are fun to experiment with, though.  I wonder if you can stick them together to make a <gasp> GU-UHN.

Lessee... my mind's eye is sketching something in my head.... if I put a couple of good-sized 10-gauge coils here and here, and leads to a car battery right about there... how'd that right-hand rule for electromagnets work again?...?  And I'd need to use a car starter solenoid as a relay triggered by the, um, trigger....
