Registration saves lives.
... and solves crimes, especially if the owners are too lazy to keep their own list of firearm serial numbers. Everyone should be required to let the state "hold" that information, just in case your guns are ever stolen.

Banning "weapons of war" seems like common sense,
until you realize the whole purpose of the Second Amendment is to allow the people to own weapons should they ever need to go to war.

I bring this up to demonstrate how convoluted and disparate we are in our efforts to fight anti gun measures. The anti 2a's agenda is simple but they have so many lines of efforts. We give in a mm and next thing you know there is a mile long breach.

I don’t know if that’s a good idea with a knucklehead on Hotel St.
but they need emotional support.
And some citizens need guns.

Allow 2 consenting adults to engage in a duel. The winner can keep the loser's gun. Engaging in this activity will result in both combatants immune to civil and criminal liability.
Permits to engage in this activity will be $10 for each combatant. This money will be used to scrape off all the blood, guts, shit, and various parts laying around after the duel. It also will pay for the disposal of the body and spraying down the area with disinfectant and odor killing aerosols. The disposal of the body or body parts is by Hefty Contractor Grade garbage bags.
For an additional $20 each combatant can buy insurance for funeral expenses. Because of the low cost of this insurance the funeral expense will be limited to a cardboard box which will be thrown into the closest landfill. It will include one hibiscus and one plumeria flower taped to the box. To minimize cost both combatants can option to hold the duel at the landfill which in that regard no monies will be collected. Winner is responsible for hosing down the area after.

if you are referring to legislation, repeal all present state gun laws. all of them.
Guns are tools nothing more. There are more than enough laws to cover crimes
regardless of kind of tool you use to commit that crime.
Laws and rules do not prevent crime, they merely define acceptable levels of behavior.
eg intentionally murdering someone is a crime, regardless of how you do it; with a gun, poison, machete,
or baseball bat, the end result is the same.
Regulating guns does NOT regulate human nature.

There are some extremely crazy people that shouldn't have a gun. But they should be committed to a mental institution if they're that much of a threat to society.

The New York Post reports Pierrick Jamaux, a 33-year-old cryptocurrency expert, was exiting an Uber at his hotel in Midtown Manhattan when a man approached him and demanded Jamaux hand over his Richard Mille watch, which boasts an average cost of $200,000, with some designs going for as high as $1.3 million.
The gunman opened fire before Jamaux could react, striking his legs and groin. Jamaux’s companion, a 25-year-old woman, jumped on the gunman’s back before the suspect fled the scene. The suspect’s attempted robbery failed, as nothing was stolen from the victim. Police recovered five shell casings from the scene.

Do you think there are any good gun control measures?
