I'm guessing this is the same range that has been talked about on Forums Hawaii (http://www.forumshawaii.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=610756). The website is a little plain but they claim to be "Hawaii's Largest Indoor Handgun Club" and will be opening this Fall.

Update June 22, 2010: Updated the title because of Heavies new information regarding the opening date.

This is really good. I thought it's going to be in Mapunapuna. The more the better.
-
Is this the range Carter's going to be running? Or a different one? If it is a different one, like Redtail mentioned... The more the better!
-
I didn't know Carter was going to be running a range. Do you have any more info on it?
-
wow mean. maybe i should get a handgun now...
-
It does sound quite promising. We'll see what their prices are like once they open.

Don't have much info myself, just stuff I over heard. I am desperate for news of a range coming up as my membership will be up soon at Waikiki Gun.

I'll just keep positive and wait till I see it happen...just like how theres suppose to be a race track @ kalaeloa... talk is cheap...be positive and wait till it actually happens... for all you know they could always rezone the land...theres a lot of politics envolved...especially when it involves land and what its going to be used for...

Any shooting range that is opening this Fall should already be physically under construction. It's not like you can walk into an abandoned warehouse and start shooting... indoor shooting ranges have requirements for ventilation, backdrops, and noise containment. So one possibility would be for a nosy person to just go walk the area.
Another avenue of research is the ownership of the LLC. That's a matter of public record, for anyone willing to go downtown and spend a few $$$ (about half for parking).
Just doing a little Googling, the name attached to the organization is Peter Nakagawa. The contact info for SRH,LLC is
95-492 Mahuli St
Mililani, HI 96789-3033

Update on the new range... I had got on the email list, but I had no got any response for quite a while. So, I shot out an email and got this response:
"I apologize for the tardy response, as your email was filtered in to my spam box. As for updates, we ran in to a snag slowing our ground breaking. However, as of this weekend, all of the issues have been rectified and we are moving forward, but now plan to open during the 1st quarter of 2011. If you have any further questions, please feel free to contact me.
Mahalo,
Larry Hoggan
Director of Marketing & Business Development"
Hope every thing goes well with this. With more venues for shooting, the better it will be for the cause.
Also, I hope there prices are not to crazy, and they allow reloads. ;)

If I recall they said on FH they will be using range ammunition only.
-
Thanks for the update Heavies.
Range ammo only seems to be pretty common with indoor ranges. I think it has something with insurance and decreasing liability.

Guess im out... I refuse to burn .50$ a pop for .45 acp. Darn.
We'll see....
