Yeah, these asshat politicians in congress should have a 5 year serve limit also.

Lest we end up with a bunch of useless, stupid 40 year plus career politicians like our useless and stupid POTUS.

How is the SAME GOVERNMENT that can't weed out bad actors buying guns after PASSING the current federal firearms background check going to keep those people from also acquiring a DOJ firearm license?

I bet the licenses will raise millions every year in fees and increase the budget for whichever agencies issue the licenses.

I think what we are seeing is politicians proposing outrageous laws which are clearly unconstitutional. and will never pass court scrutiny.

why?

It's a bargaining stance. Like the price written on the windshield of a used car.
The salesguy will always take less than that price after he talks to his boss.

And so it is with the lawmaking process. Laws are always a compromise after negotiation.
The problem is that any compromise is an infringement on our rights.
That's how you eventually lose everything.
