2aHawaii.com's logo right now is just plain text. Yeah, not very exciting.
I want to offer you the chance to redesign our logo.
I am thinking new logo should be one color, be able to go on t-shirts and stickers this website, and appeal to all shooters, young and old. Of course your aren't bound to this and your imagination is the limit.
Please post any submissions in this thread.

Here is how to post the image. The tricky part is getting the URL from flickr. In IE you can right click the image and select properties to find the link.

Yes, you can embed pics from any site the way that I posted earlier. You can also post pictures here by clicking "Additional Options" below the post box on the posting page.

AHA!!! Gracias, senor!!! I suspected that the URL I was seeing in my browser wasn't the one another person would have to use, but had no clue how to find the correct one! Next logo, I'll be able to to it right!!!

It could certainly stand some refinement, probably find a font that overlapped better without the distortion, play with colors, etc. Just wanted to do a quick draft in between more "real world" oriented projects.

Yeah, I just did not have the time or patience to do extensive font crawling, but I didn't want the idea to get away from me. I'll putter around with it some more next week.

Need to incorporate something that's native to hawaii in the back ground i.e. map of the entire state, a wave, surfboard, or honu.

Antithesis, I think I like that one the best so far. It looks really polished and has accomplished something the other logos haven't done...show that this is a website.
What does everyone else think?

Well that is the tentative design I came up with for the stickers I was talking about earlier. I'm not 100% about the phrase in the bottom right hand corner though. Can anyone come up with something better/catchier?

Just something I whipped up real quick. I also own a signage manufacturing company so I can def. print out some decals, regardless which logo is chosen (sorry if endorsing my business is against forum policy.. just trying to help :shaka: ) Also, I was going to work in some color just to see what it looks like and maybe a horizontal layout for a bumper sticker. Oh, and I'm working on incorporating ".com" in there somewhere, too.

Quick edit... just messing around with a tag line and added the website.
And to explain the logo real quick, since someone suggested we incorporate something "Hawaii" in it, the swoosh going through the "II" and "A" symbolizes the ocean/a wave.

I'd like to see the wave threaded through the II as well as the A. Not a fan of the "HAWAII" presentation. I think I like the block letters and cartridges, but the clutter at the bottom throws me.

Good point. I wanted a grunge font but I agree, I think the one I chose might be a bit much. I'll rework it once I get a chance. Thanks for the feedback!

I like the logo Steg, though I do agree with Tom about having the "Hawaii" part at the bottom cleaned up a bit. Also I'd much rather go through a local business (especially one owned by a firearms enthusiast) than a mainland company for getting our logoa printed. What do you guys think? :D

I think it is a little too busy for me, but I'd like to hear everyone else's opinion.

Third round of revisions. Cleaned up the typography on the bottom and added a couple color experiments. I tweaked the wave so now it can symbolize both ocean and flag (Hawaiian/American), as illustrated in the second example.

Not bad. I kinda like the way the bottom is written in red on the third one but also like the red and blue stripes.

Hehe, I actually had a fourth example with the red & blue wave and red text on the bottom. I did it right after I posted the samples above. It's on my work computer, though, so I'll post it up tomorrow.

Lovin' everything so far Stego. So what is the ballpark range as far as production costs? How much would it be roughly per shirt, hat, decal or any other item we should consider making?

I would go for a tee (short and long sleeve), and couple of stickers for my car and bike. 3"x3" would be cool, right next to my NRA sticker. :D

What color would you prefer, black or white?

Given the small numbers likely to be involved, you may be better off farming the sales and manufacturing out to someone like CafePress (http://www.cafepress.com/).
That being said, I'd want a t-shirt with the colored wave, black text, on a light khaki short sleeve.

I'm with Tom, I'd like the shirts in a Khaki or Brown so when I wear them to the range and to matches they don't get so dirty when I'm laying prone. :P
Local printers are also available. I'll ask around as well.
They usually charge by the color, and XXL/up are usually a little more.

I asked around for a local business that can be recommended to print shirts, and I was told MKB sports in Waipio is good people. I was told their prices are negotiable, they do quality work, and they are a mom and pops company that do a lot of runs for sports teams and such.

Do you like the way the colors look on the Khaki/sand color?
What do you think about a full color print on the back and a small monotone print on the front left chest area?
What size would you want?

I think that is looks great! All the samples look very good. I especially like the khaki and black! I don't think the small print on the front is necessary, but either way I don't mind.
I'll take two large, one black, and one khaki.
What kind of pricing where you thinking about?

Full color back, small logo on the front, sounds good! I would recommend losing the small type for the small logo.
I definitely like the Khaki best.
If you can keep 'em under $20, I'll take 3 in XL.

The black shirt is missing the white line under "HAWAII". Other than that, I can go with any color.. they all look good but if I had to choose just one would probably pick black first and white next. I like the idea of just the big, full-color print on the front.

Okay, I've ordered a few shirts in both black and khaki with a full color print. I expect them to come in a couple weeks and will post pics once I get them. I still have a little more to figure out, but I'm excited.

I have quite a few shirts on order and should be able to fulfill everyone's requests. I really want to get them in my hand's first, and take some pictures for you guys before blindly selling them. Just want you to be sure of what you're getting. It should only be a week or two from now.
