Title: He was a quiet kid who kept to himself and didn't seem to have many friends.

In 2009, Keith Randulich was 18, and his half-sister (his mother's & step-father's kid) was 4.

He wanted to buy a gun, but his mother wasn't interested in buying it for him.  She said he'd have to work and save the money.

His desire for a gun (according to him) was in case someone abusing/harassing his sister got worse.  He wanted to kill that 14 year old family member.  He said that kid was bigger and stronger than him, so he didn't feel confident he'd be able to kill him without a firearm.

One day after school, he decided he needed to kill his sister to protect her from a life of pain caused by the suspected abuser -- something he had no evidence was even happening.

These are the people Red Flag Laws are supposed to stop before they commit murder.  No gun was used, and I doubt he would have had any problem passing any background check.

Maybe if mom had coughed up the money for a gun, he would not have felt killing his sister was the only option?  Or, maybe the whole family would have been murdered?  His reason for killing Sabrina was so incomprehensible, maybe there was more to it?  Maybe he's just sick enough to believe his own explanation and thinks it was reasonable?

What's obvious is no law would deter him from his decision to murder.  He willingly gave himself up to the Cops after calling 911 to report his crime.

I watched the whole video.  It's just under an hour, so plan ahead.

This is the real world we live in.  Evil exists.  Hoping the government can stop these psychopaths is not going to solve the problem.  In this case, even a good guy with a gun wasn't there -- no one was.  The point being, these types exist, and no laws will stop them after they decide to kill.  All we can do is be prepared in case we find ourselves in similar circumstances.

Imagine this guy attending your kid's school, or working with your wife or girlfriend.  Something is wrong with him, and expecting someone to red flag him would not have solved anything.
