This 10MM handgun was released about a month ago. Without too many examples in the state, I was wondering about replacing my 10mm Glock with this weapon. When the first shot has to be your best shot, the Sig P320-XTEN with a red dot sight would likely be my best choice for late stage hunting defense. Liberty Self Defense rounds have a muzzle velocity of 2400 fps, and might be useful in other applications.

Sig Romeo sights are not exactly my first choice in sights, which means I might delay the purchase for a year while other makers tool up their offerings in plates and shrouds. Usually in the second and later years of manufacturing, Sig makes improvements to the gun itself, and this might factor into the decision to be a first adopter or a wait-and-see buyer.

Unless you go hunting often, is there a need to replace what you got? But on the other hand, if u got the bankroll to buy what ever you want, then go for it. Get the newest kid on the block. The only cause for concern may be that it's too new.

The nice thing about Sig P320 is you can get one or more X-Change kits to make your original pistol larger, smaller and/or another caliber -- all without the need to buy another pistol and going through the permit and registration process. The kits are not controlled, so if you buy online, they ship direct to your door.
Given that, you could buy a 10mm full-size for hunting and also make it a 9mm compact for concealed carry. Very few scenarios where you'd need more than one size or caliber, IMO.
