Title: Your car is a weapon

Ed Sniffen, the Deputy Director of DOT Highways Division, says that speeding is one of the leading causes of deadly crashes. “Your car is a weapon,” Sniffen said. “Our friends, families, neighbors and everyone are using these roadways ― make sure we take care of them.”

With that statement from a State official, cars should go through a similar background check as potential firearms owners. Medical waiver, background check and RapBack.

To Democrats everything is a "weapon" to be controlled.
by them.
Six months ago I had to go to the mainland on personal business.
I had to drive through Sacramento and Stockton.
I kept up with traffic at the normal traffic flow.
I don't think I dropped below 80 MPH much.
The speed limit as posted was 55 or less in the construction zones.
I learned to drive in Los Angeles traffic and I drove in Seattle traffic for over twenty years,
I have no problems with heavy high speed traffic.
What is unique about Hawaii is a political culture that thinks they know what is
right for everyone else except for them.
From guns to drugs to gambling to cars.
They know what is best for you, but they don't follow those rules because
they are better than you.
Another society called that Hubris.
To Hawaii Democrats, I say Fuck you.
Aloha.

Don't sugar-coat it.  How do you really feel?

  :shaka:

People like to label themselves "civilized," but I don't think that's what they want to be.  Look at all the money, time and energy spent traveling and seeking experiences in nature ... camping, hiking, nature trails, skiing, biking, rock climbing, mountain climbing, etc.

I think most of us yearn for the simpler life outside of "civilized society," where you don't have room to do anything without offending or angering someone.  Look at how popular the Off-Grid and Survivalist TV shows have been.  People fantasize about quitting their jobs and finding a way to enjoy what's really important in life.

Looking at the behavior of the Far Left these last couple of decades, I think they are closer to uncivilized than they want to admit.

I'm overdue for an oil change, and it's definitely not a kalashnikov.

My mind is a little fuzzy but I thought the common car held the designation of WMD. I could be wrong, btw what ever happened to that guy who mostly peacefully used his car durring a Christmas parade to send I think it was (Wikipedia says 6) people to saint Pete?

In the push to increase public transport I wouldn't be surprised if driving gets made more difficult. Increased fees, gas cost, parking rates, and difficulty in getting a license.
