Anyone know the rules on metal targets at kokohead on the rifle range?

I would recommend not using mild steel for high power rounds.

what happens is that it craters and should a round go into the same hole it will turn into nice shrapnel and might come back at ya!

guess someone other than I saw them new popper targets at Sports Authority...  kinda pricey, but they look well made.

Would the range even allow that shape of a target?   They weren't round in shape but more silhouetted of a person.

I wonder if KHSC allows steel targets in the shape of bowling pins.  To me that could be possibly a possible human siloutte?   :wtf:

What range are you talking about that shrapnel is a realistic concern. 

I've seen a bunch of guys with their AR500 plates and a few even with what looks like mild steel plates.  It's interesting that most of the times, the chain is actually what seems to fail on those targets.
