I was gonna wait till HI ccw's are issued b4 i rds my shield. Got some extra cash laying around and going to vegas soon. So got $200 of free $.
Bet on:
1 hand blackjack, but odds are even. Bet $200, profit $200.
Craps pass line. Like $50. Then $150 odds. If point is a 4 or 10 and i hit, then the odds pay almost double. So profit would be $350. 6 or 8 would profit like $225.
$70 bets for 1 or 3 hands of Let It Ride. 3 hands if i get shit cards. Profit varies.
$200 in random slot machine and hope for a big bonus.
1 had of 3 card poker. Maybe place $150 on the pair plus.
Roulette is out cause 1/38 is really bad odds. And other bets are boring. I just dont get entertained by roulette.
Or 200 games of $1 keno. This one's a joke.

Yeah, Roulette is boring. But throw $150 on Black. And $50 on the 11. ;D
Good Luck in Vegas! :shaka:

If you choose slots, then you'd be placing multiple bets based on the denomination and combos you choose. If you're betting $10/spin, that's 20 spins. That assumes you aren't on a high limit machine that can cost $100-$200 max per spin.
You should play table games the same way. Instead of one bet of $150 or $200, break it down to 10 x $20 bets or 20 x $10 bets.
That gives you a better chance of walking away with a profit. If not, at least you got some entertainment value for your money.
If you hit a lucky streak, you could do quite well without risking it all on the first bet. Just a suggestion. :shaka:

Pick your fave between 6 or 8. Say 8, bet hard 8 and 8 pm. Say $100 one day and $100 another day. If hit, then either let it ride or go $400 on the hard 8 and place an 8.
I say go for the gusto!

Can tell u havent been to the strip in a while. $10 tables are hard to find. $15 is the norm. And some places only have $25 tables. Even downtown has no $5 tables anymore.
Then besides BJ, many games u playing $40 a hand. Like 3 card poker, say $15 table. To play the hand cost $30 (2; $15 bets). Then add in at least $11 for 2 side bets (pair plus & 6 card bonus & progtessive). Or ultimate texas holdem which has a $10 table if ur lucky. With a decent hand, u playing $50. Then add in another $10 for the side bets.
Even many slots, its like $5-10 a spin for max betting. There are a bunch that are still $3 or even $1.50 max bet a spin, but u gotta hunt for them.
I get what ur saying though and appreciate the input. The point is to bet it all at once. Bet big, win big theory.
I forgot abt the high limit slots since u mentioned slots. Wheel of fortune has a $100 a spin machine. If u get to spin the wheel, the lowest payout is $2200. I tried 5 spins in jan and lost it all. So i might venture into the high limit room and do 1 spin.

I rarely go to the strip at all except for shows or events. I prefer to gamble downtown. The higher limits at the mega resorts are designed for one thing only: to shear as many sheep of their bankroll as quickly as possible.
I avoid the "carnival" games like the many blackjack variants, especially if blackjack pays 6 to 5 vs 3 to 2.
Do some research before going. There are a ton of blog and YT advisors online that list the table limits and games available.
The strip on any given weekend has been notoriously expensive. After COVID reopening, they started making that limit level the daily norm. I couldn't get rated at MGM years ago because I wasn't playing at least $200/hand on one of the poker games. Downtown, they rate you every time you sit at a table no matter what level you're playing.
The rating will be based on the "action" you give them. More action = higher rating. No sense in being arrogant and insulting as if the player is going to start betting more just for comps!

I had a friend rely on comps. He gave up because it was too much work to maintain his status. That he was at the tables for like 14hrs a day easily. His game was Bacarrat. He said he rather pay for his room.
I get some comps, but Mrs. CMO gets way more because she's a slot player.
Post-COVID many casinos upped their table mins. That's why I was surprised to be downtown and there were no $5 tables. They were $10. On many occasions, Freemont even let Mrs. CMO bet $3 min bet on the craps table cause they had the $3 special during X hours of the day. These times are gone for now sadly.
We went in Dec 2021 and Jan 2022 and it was empty in downtown. So empty that I was the only one on the craps table at Freemont. Usually they got a few tables full of people playing at all hours of the day. NYNY shut down their craps table due to no players. I have never seen zero craps table at a place like NYNY. And at 4 Queens, there were 2 of us. But usually Queens is not as busy as Freemont.
Outside was busy, seems like people go there to hang and drink thank gamble. At least Freemont valet is still free.
And Wynn doesn't even have $15 tables anymore. Same with Aria. Which is why I was surprised to see Cosmo with $15 tables still. Greens chips are too rich for my blood.
Freemont street has been having issues for a year now. After a certain time they have metal detectors set up on the street entrances. But 1 could easily go thru the hotels to bypass these. It isnt illegal to CCW a firearm, its just their rules.

So i was gonna drop the $200 on the 3 card bonus on let it ride. Dealer stopped it cause max bet for this table is $50. I got delt a flush. FML. Would have been a 3to1 payout ($600 profit). Instead i later did the same at another casino and lost it all. Got delt a 8, 4, 2 off suited.

They were the happening spot. Freemont, queens, cal, all way emptier compared to GN.
Their gambling director understands.
