Edited to add: I became aware of this video via a newsletter from a Colorado state legislator who recommended it to all of his constituents. Now, just try to imagine any legislator or government official in the state of Hawaii publicly recommending such a video to Hawaii citizens. Never gonna happen.

An AR 15 platform is probably about the only kind of rifle I don't own.
Why?
I think there is only one source of 5.56X45 ammo in the
USA and congress can shut it down at any time.
.223 Rem isn't as reliable in a gun chambered for 5.56X45.
I passed on the AR10 as I have a M14 clone.
But as far as ease of use an AR15 platform is awesome.
This is just my opinion.

Great video, liked and subscribed. I’m at the point where I have to figure who gets my collection of ARs when I croak.

.223 Rem unreliable in guns chambered for 5.56? Where are you getting or hearing that from?
I’ve had some mid-length guns that didn’t run well with cheaper and known underpowered .223 ammo. Easily remedied, and all of my carbine has guns eat up the underpowered ammo.

The general consensus is:
A) you can fire 5.56 ammo in a rifle chambered for 5.56 (duh), but you should never fire 5.56 ammo in a rifle chambered for .223 only due to possible safety issues.
B) you can fire .223 ammo in a rifle chambered for 5.56 or .223 (double-duh) -- no safety issues.
C) rifles chambered for .223 are considered more accurate than 5.56-chambered rifles.
D) 5.56-chambered rifles may be more reliable than .223-chambered semi-autos like the AR platform. This is due to the rifle design and build, not the ammo used.
YMMV

not true as well
so many Wylde variables...not just SAAMI

General consensus 5.56 ARs are more reliable?
Guess I’ll never know. Only own 5.56 chambering and don’t see a need for .223 Rem. Don’t envision doing the precision AR thing. But not saying never

the throat is longer in a 5.56 chamber. There are so many chambers. Wylde, CLE etc. etc. The difference is how far out the bullet is seated. Mag length are generally OK. There are some commercially loaded 80s that obviously can't be loaded to mag length. 90s are available but I haven't seen any commercially loaded rounds.

Wylde chambers are not for ".223 ONLY." They are hybrids. Although marked .223 Wylde, they are compatible with 5.56, too.
I stated "chambered for .223 only." I see nothing wrong.
