Did not need it, but got an Arizona CCW.
Last visit, got a DTOM medium fanny pack to try out CCW there. Gun is a chunky, heavy little Glock 30.
I used the smaller pockets for cell phone, wallet and car keys. The not insignificant weight of the Glock was not an issue, even when wearing loose elastic waist shorts as I do in Hawaii.
Slid it around to my left side, which made buckling that seat belt simple. Only notice the heft when first putting it on.
Yeah, it is a bit of a PITA to gear up, but once on is not a big deal. Wife never noticed it, maybe got stink eye from one older women, but who knows why.
Being an olde farte, a fanny pack is not strange I guess.
Never tried out the IWB holster I got, just do not like wearing shorts/jeans with a belt in the heat.
Am wondering if my desire to stick with .45 ACP condemns me to heavy sidearms. Going 9 mm now would be expensive.

The new generation is bringing fanny packs back into style lol. Wear it like a crossbody. So the compartments lay across your chest / upper torso. Alot of guys and girls wear it that way. Locals and japanese/ korean tourists.
Some popular brands ive seen is supreme, lululemon, dakine, and some amazon lookalike of those brands.

Been using a Fanny pack in this style before it was a style. Have the DTOM small and medium. Good quality packs. Still have and use them.

With a Tee shirt?
The fanny pack gave me a grab and go. Left it all together to just click on when leaving.
Had to practice with the rip open zippers to find a straight pull out from the body opened it best. Suppose a stealthy zipper pull to open an end could be used as a preparatory move to slipping a hand in quietly..

Small correction. Small and large. Small fits micro compacts nicely. Large can fit a cz75B easily. I prefer the small. Can carry pistol, wallet, phone.

I really like a nice fanny pack

I carried on occasion with basketball shorts a VP9. The elastic itself isn't sturdy enough support the weight of the gun. The clip I have is tight enough so when I draw, the holster doesn't come out with the gun. So to help support the weight, I tucked the holster into my boxer briefs as well. So the support of the basketball shorts elastic band and boxer briefs was enough for short periods. I would not do this for more than 2 hours.
To do the same with a Shield Plus and sidecar is not an issue to go the entire day since it's a much lighter gun.
If I had to carry all day without a belt the VP9 or like weighted gun, I would look into Phlster holsters. I'm not a fan of fanny pack carry.

That philster looks like a process to get on and off. With the DTOM pack it is a click and go. Phone especially as I am not an enthusiastic iFag phone user do not like the things in a pocket.
I also used without Glock it to carry that crap usually stuffed in pockets. The TSA creeps spotted the pack coming home and looked a bit too eager like they had a live one.
Just phone keys, protein bars, and tickets. With the belt out as far as possible, I could just use it as a sling beg.

The medium is great like that, plust the little pocket in front fits my key fob for the no-key ignition. Just need to be in the truck and I can start it without digging the remote out.
So, everything I would grab to leave the house is already in the pouches ready to go. What I am wearing does not matter.
The thing will expand to carry a fat wallet, but it starts to bonk into things if not careful. Need to trim the crap out of the wallet.

Yes. I use in virtually the same way. I like things simple.
