Reporter "Gunz Martinez"

Guy could have been hit in the eye. I wonder how forgiving he'll be then.

I wonder what would happen if someone returned fire... with a real gun...
I'm going to assume that the victim in this case could say they believed they were being shot, but the sad part if they would probably have to spend a lot of money on an attorney even if they're not indicted.

"He’s hoping by speaking out, that others will learn from the teenager’s recklessness."
Really? He hasn't been paying attention. Letting people, especially teens, get away with these crimes is the reason crime rates are so high now.
"...five-year jail, and $5000 fine," would be a better lesson -- not, "apologize, and you get to skate.'
He really owes the victim more than he knows. If this were my kid, and the charges were not filed, i'd have him over at that man's house every single day after school and on weekends to take care of whatever needed doing. i'm sure he could use a few rooms painted, some landscaping done -- maybe even a car waxed, a deck sanded or fence painted?
