Don't we already at least minus the "Real" cycling fake guns? Seems like airsoft is pretty popular in Hawaii.
-
At this place you bring your own real firearms and the modify it to shoot their ammo. Not airsoft but your own guns. Seems like pretty good training and one HELL of a fun time.
-
I just think back to the war game scene in "child's play 3" where Chuckie switches the paintball SIM rounds for real bullets
-
Sounds like airsoft.
On another note, you'd be surprised that certain airsoft players are against real guns citing the danger of owning them.

its called simunition, i have a friend in the US marshals, they train scenarios using simunition. he says its 90% of the pain of being shot, minus the penetration and, you know, death.

I've heard that shat hurts, leaving pretty good welts. Much worst that paintball welts, even through decent clothing.

Simunition does hurt. Used it while during ASF(auxillary security force) and SRF(security reaction force) and got shot 3 times in the thigh.... the one place I had no PPE, just coveralls and it left scars. Did room clearing and ship boarding training, good times and I would pay to have something like that available outside of navy schools. The pain is equivalent of being shot 5' away with a paintball gun, it breaks the skin and leaves a bruise. The weapons used cycle just the same, but accuracy with simunition varies.

You couldn't PAY me to use Simunitions. Not being able to have stockweld is another biggie to me. I'd rather wear safety glasses, a shemagh, and a long sleeve tshirt while using airsoft.

I'm guessing that you don't care for donning all the PPE required to use simunitions. Majority of the time we used pistols, but your definitely right when we did use long guns you really couldn't get a proper stockweld with the PPE on.

ehh?
every place i've ever done airsoft at required a full mask anyways. no cheekweld there either/

I would choose simunition over air soft any day. Seen that place on the news, looks cool.

I've had bad experiences. Wearing MARPAT utilities, flak, and other protection, it sucks when it contacts somewhere without armor (like the inner thigh, 1 inch from the twins). All the masks I've ever used (USGI) were badly scratched.

At private games, rocking ballistic glasses and a shemagh works great. Easy cheekweld.
