We need a mass public "protest" made up of Taser owners visibly displaying their less-than-lethal non-firearms.
Then, when the Cops get tired of false alarms, the Chief will have no choice but to recant his plea for public 911 open-carry calls.
This is an example of what can happen -- lockdowns, a terrorized public, disruption of businesses, traffic snarls, and people's lives impacted having to deal with false reports. All because of an irrational fear and a deep desire to continue violating Constitutionally protected rights.

I was thinking the same thing. Call 911 everytime I see a police officer. Or armored car guard. Or prison guard. Or airport guard. Or airsoft people playing games. Or every time I see the clerks touch the Daisy Air guns at Walmart.

Looking at the StarProvdatizer article, I realize they added NO CoNTEXT to the chief's request for 911 calls.
He didn't say "in public places, away from residences or businesses," etc.
I can see people getting reported for open carrying on their property or in their place of business.

How about us guys on public lands, Licensed by the state, with Tags for general or
specific Fauna, openly carrying loaded guns,
