Was just wondering if a CCW holder caries his/her pistol in a Sneaky Pete holster in plain sight would it would it be legally considered concealed? ;)

If nobody sees a gun, it's concealed. I see no difference between that and off-body carry inside a purse, planner or back pack.

That’s what I thought but you know we’re dealing with HPD idiots…. :D

Unless I missed something, there are no restrictions or specifications for "applicant's holster," which is only mentioned in the Chief's Rules, Chapter 15, in the paragraph describing qualification standards. i also haven't seen any laws specifying what holsters must be used.
In fact, other than qualifying, there's nothing that says you're required to carry a firearm in a holster at all -- nothing other than common sense that is.
Maybe i'm wrong, but i don't remember seeing such a mandate.

And here I was thinking about the cue stick. I still have one from back in my HS days.

I want to pocket carry if I CCW. The holster I like just covers the trigger guard and a lanyard is attached to your belt loop.
When you draw the pistol the lanyard yanks the holster off the trigger guard.
I strongly opposed the holster requirements in the Chief's draft of "Chief's rules for CCW " in the Oct. hearings.

Thank you, this was removed due to you and many who opposed it.

I always preferred small of the back (with ppk) or fanny pack carry.
For concealed carry I always used small frame pistols, but I was
also a very good shot.
County of Hawaii requires a class 2 holster (Bull Schiff!!!),
it must make cops, criminals and politicians feel safer.

Yeah. I often wondered if the class 2 holster is more for their comfort than for our safety and ability to protect ourselves and our loved ones.
But the bottom line for me is that if a CCW licensee wants to use a class 2 holster then by all means he should be free to do so. Everyone is different in size and shape so each licensee should choose what is best for them.

What is a Class 2 holster? Same same as Type 2?

Holster used for dual wield. Like that AR butt stock that can hold a Glock in it.

T1C had a question asked on their IG for "akimbo" holster options. . .

If I were to go engineer here it is a "level 2"

I accidently found 1. https://safariland.com/products/model-575-iwb-gls-pro-fit-holster-model_575
Tier1 doesnt make a single IWB for Shield Plus.

I tried one of those recently. Retention is secure, it’s a Safariland. Draw was easy/smooth. Similar to ALS where retention is “released” with good draw.

Was poking fun. But ya, level 2 ;D

There is no rule stating that a holster of any kind is required other than for the proficiency test.
" Concealed" is the requirement.
Concealed is defined in section 15-12 of C.O.P. Rules as
"Concealed" means entirely hidden from view of the public and not discerned by ordinary observation, even if covered by clothing, such that reasonable person without law enforcement training would be unable to detect the presence of a firearm"
A "Sneaky Pete" is not technically a holster and neither is a handbag, purse, slingbag, backpack etc...

To the uninitiated, a Sneaky Pete holster looks like a case for electronics (cell phone, multimeter, or medical supplies). They sell a variety of "covert" models to make them less likely to attract attention as a firearm holster.

Meh, would still not consider it a holster just as I would not consider a ComfortTac fanny pack a holster.
Just cuz it identity's as a holster does not make it one
