What the heck is this?
Bore measures about .30 cal. Oct. bbl. unknown caliber. Bavarian mfg.?

I don't know the exact name, but I believe guns of this type are called "Rook" rifles--used for shooting small game in Europe/GB primarily. 30 to 32 cal. was the most common, if I recall. It would be the small game equivalent of an American farmboy's single shot shotgun, except of course for birds.
