Title: Proposed ban on semi automatic firearms
Post by: Onenuttkapolei on April 02, 2023, 11:26:43 AM
Question for those of you who are much better informed on the politics of the 2A than I am.  If a law passes that bans the sale of some form factor’s of semi automatic firearms, do you think it will have any impact whatsoever on the semi automatic weapons that we already “legally” own?  Could forcing the public to surrender them become a thing?  Or, is it more likely that the firearms that everyone already owns will be good to go?  It’s kinda like the brace thing.  I wanted to build an AR pistol but didn’t because it looked like they would become illegal.  Those in the know, post your opinions.  As I build my collection based on what I like (no tactical reason, I just like certain firearms for their cool factor) I don’t want to invest in firearms that I might have to surrender somewhere down the line.

If they ever tried to enforce a semi auto grab it would be instant civil war. The only way they could accomplish it is through a social credit system.
Get what you think is most useful to you and then trade it in for enough central bank digital currency to buy a can of beans when everyone is starving.

Only in Hawaii where over 1000 oppose to HB525 CBDC with manini support and it still passes for a vote in the senate :grrr:

We live in a communist state.

Yep.  Wouldn't surprise me at all if Civil War or Civil Disobedience breaks out.

Elected representatives vote the way they want, not the way the people they "represent " want.  These entitled pricks think their opinion is the only one that matters.

The ones HI tried had no grandfather clause. So must be turned into hpd, destroyed, or moved out of state by july 1 when the governor signs the bills into law.

Same bill also bans semi auto shotguns usually.
