Sometimes I wonder what these companies are thinking. Then I remember that there are many stupid people in the nation.

No loss. I hate Bud Light and Budweiser too. Both give me a headache after half a can. I must be allergic to something in it.

I thought I was the only one! Bud products give me a headache. It's the only beer brand that does that.
First beer i tried was Natural Light. Drank several -- no headache.
When I started college, all the keg parties had Budweiser pretty much every time. Caused headaches and also nausea. Didn't matter how little I drank.
After a few parties to see if I could get used to it, I started drinking other brands if available or brought my own.
Waiting for the new ad campaign claiming Bud Light is really Budweiser that's transitioned from beer to light beer.

What I question is the constant need by certain companies and brands to try and capitalize on people with possible mental defects.

The kicker is, if a fetus tests positive for the additional chromosomes that cause down syndrome, the mother has the option to abort.
Imagine if someone develops a test that accurately predicts a child is Trans. The uproar from people aborting those "defective" people would be deafening.
I remember a TV episode (think it was on Law & Order) where a Gay man killed a scientist who claimed he was close to identifying the "Gay gene". Same implication. If being LGBTQ+ has a genetic cause that can be tested for, how long before the abortion zealots and LGBTQ+ activists implode?

This person is a characakture of a girl -- a biological male who tried various other YouTube content themes to become famous. Pretending to be transgender got him/her the most attention, so that's what he/she has decided to pretend to be.
Many commentators have noticed how fake this person is, how much of a stereotype of a "girl" he's tried to portray, and how offensive this person's behavior should be to actual girls and women given the over-the-top traits he's adopted.

The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) was enacted over 30 years ago. It allowed the disabled to enter the workforce without discrimination. That act was primarily responsible for how the public views and treats the disabled in society, which included disbanding the practice of circus freak shows.

The criticism I read/saw from women is more about the caricature he displays of women. Real women do not act or behave like he does. He's behaving like some dim blonde high school character in a movie. It's like he created a list of stereotypes, and that's the persona he is portraying, much like how Black Face is a stereotype of Blacks.
I've heard several people call what he does "woman face" to drive that point home.
Also, if you think about it, he's 26 and just finished posting his 365 days of Girlhood to chronicle his supposed transition. That means he sees himself as a child -- a one-year-old girl ... not a woman. He's also made videos about his "bulge" and how to try and hide in in swimsuits. That tells everyone he's not seriously considering having reassignment surgery.
I'd call him an attention whore, but that could possibly offend actual whores -- and not much offends them!!

Liberals, like the bar owner that kicked out paying customers, will berate you for having a "wrong" opinion or belief.
Conservatives will let you express your opinion, sometimes try to present arguments to help persuade you to their opinion, but ultimately know you have the right to your opinion and let it go at that.
If he's that buff, chances are he's either a conservative who doesn't care what other people think, he's a Gay Liberal, or the price of Bud Light was better than the others. Some people don't follow politics and only care about doing what's in their immediate self interest.

That's under $0.42 per can before sales tax I've read that a 24-pack of Bud Light used to be $18.97. That's $0.79/can.
Haven't seen where this Costco is located, but apparently Sam's Club and Costco have the lowest prices everywhere.

All of this makes perfect sense, only what does it have to do with Dylan Mulvaney? He's not a pretty woman OR an ugly woman. He's a 26-year-old man pretending to be a teen girl.
And since the primary age demographic of his followers is around 15, he's also marketing alcohol to minors.
Until and unless he has top and/or bottom trans surgery, he's just a man pretending. He can always change his mind and live as a Gay man again.

Many Bud Light fans (former?) are smart enough to know what other brands are under Anheuser-Busch and are opting out of those as well.
Ab execs can say whatever they want, but the pain is being felt all across the board.
Too bad they also have foreign markets like Japan. Go to a Waikiki ABC store and see how much higher the Budweiser products are marked up. Japanese visitors love it.
When I went to Japan for work, the local US military base was having a community appreciation day. The sports field was surrounded by all the units stationed there each selling food and beverages -- especially beer. The locals were buying Budweiser by the case, I'm sure in part to sell and make money. It was crazy.
I guess AB has that American-style marketing in all countries. i wonder if Dylan is planning a world tour? :rofl:

Kroger and Target stores are your best bet in other states. i checked the 2023 Super Bowl rebate rules, and Hawaii was not in the list of states that could redeem the coupons/QR codes.

He is deflecting the issue as if people are upset at a 'single can with his face.'
The issue is the fact they chose to partner with this joke of a transgender at all. AB only looked at the label "trans" and the number of followers to try and bring those followers into the AB fold of consumers.
If they'd bothered to research, they would have seen Mulvaney for what he is: an attention-seeking influencer on social media who only transitioned for clicks and fame. He is an actor portraying the most irritating characakture of a woman. He acts like a gay man more than any woman I've ever known. Also, his followers are mostly teens in the 15 year old range. Trying to market alcoholic beverages to underage kids isn't the best look for AB.
So, screw that "only one can" attempt at downplaying the real issue. We all know better.

yeah. anybody that took public speaking 101 knows that the attention span of your audience is about 7 minutes at best.
It's even worse if you're sitting at home in front of a screen watching somebody talk into a camera.
At firearm safety classes you try to lecture a little, then ask your students questions to regain their attention. Like mini pop quizzes.

At Squadron Officers' School, we had several speeches to research, prepare and present. If memory serves, we were limited to 5 minutes per speech. I would have my slides on the PC & displayed on a large TV (this was in the 80s, so i was the only one who didn't use butcher paper!). i would place my watch next to the mouse with a list of topics and times. That way I could check how I was doing time-wise each time I went to the next slide. We all practiced over the weekend with each other to get feedback and to rehearse. Since going over time was an instant Fail, students would help each other during the presentation by giving 'hurry up" signals when we were close to the 5 minute mark.
Even at 5 minutes, it was difficult to keep everyone's attention. I could tell some were off in space within the first minute! :geekdanc:

There was this one girl at work who would take pictures of me if I fell asleep at the computer.
They enjoyed making fun of us old guys. Some cousins posted pictures like that for Father's Day.

At Times market yesterday there was a shopping cart with many empty Bud cartons.
I also see many empty Bud cartons and cans at the park.
It looks like people here in my neighborhood don't really care about boycotts.

Some people will only drink what they are have grown accustomed to, which often means the brands they choose are in 99% of bars and stores -- thus ensuring they can always buy it no matter where they are.
it's the same with Coca Cola drinkers. When they ask for a Coke, and the server asks if Pepsi is okay, about half the time they will pick something else like water. Some do it because they really don't like the other soda's flavor, and others do it to make a statement - that the business needs to carry what they like or lose a sale. Soda and alcohol have huge markups in restaurants and bars, so losing a sale cuts into the profits.

Bud Light executives LIED to the public about the business relationship (or to hear them tell it "lack of any relationship") they had with Mulvaney.
Also, the amount of money paid to him was not "four or maybe five figures" as reported by the intermediary marketing company Captive 8. He was paid $185,000, which kind of debunks Bud Light's story that they only sent him "one can" with his face on it "as a gift", and that there never was any marketing campaign involving him.
Interesting to see how Crowder's investigative team unraveled this mess and shows how the media pushed the misinformation and lies in order to gas light conservative into believing the boycott was (a) not effective and (b) based on a non-existent Bud Light agreement with Mulvaney.
