So if people just didn't break laws they wouldn't have to worry? I guess it's her own fault she got her self shot according to the group consensus?
A man in upstate New York was charged with murder on Monday in the killing of a woman who was in a car that mistakenly drove into his driveway, officials said.
The woman and the three friends she was with never got out of the car on Saturday night, Jeffrey J. Murphy, the Washington County sheriff, said at a news conference. They were turning around after realizing their error when the man, Kevin Monahan, 65, stepped out of his house, in Hebron, N.Y., and fired at least two shots at the car, the sheriff said.
One of the bullets struck the woman, Kaylin Gillis, 20, and the group drove about six miles to a nearby town before they got through to 911, Sheriff Murphy said. Emergency services workers responded and performed lifesaving measures on Ms. Gillis, but she was pronounced dead, the sheriff said.

Why are you even on this forum? This is a pro-2A group. Please state what the problem in this incident is and how you expect us to "address" it.
Murder is against the law. Shooting someone who poses no threat is against the law. What "regulations" would have prevented this other than confiscation?
As for training, nobody can truly prepare for the time they might need to be armed. How you react under stress is difficult to predict, as is the type of physical and emotional response to a potentially lethal threat.
What you lack in facts about this case you more than overcompensate for in anti-2A talking points.

Why don't you wait at least until we hear the homeowner's side of what happened and why he fired before you start lecturing. For all you know, he was 100% justified, and the DA is just following NY protocol by charging anyone who dares defend themselves with a firearm with murder.
