Western Women Are Too Woke For "Passport Bros"
The term "passport bros" has been circulating on social media lately.
Passport bros mainly consist of American men traveling abroad to look
for life partners because according to them, western women are too woke.

That video is spot on, IMHO.
LOL Here is my personal observation:
Over the last 40 something years, I've seen a lot of local men choose women from other countries for various reasons.
I think the #1 reason is that most of these women want to live in the USA is because they come from oppressed countries.
If they marry an average working American man, they are almost assured to live a happy and peaceful life in a nice middle-class town.
That's better than most of the rest of the world.
In my family, many relatives have chosen mates from foreign countries or have close ties to foreign countries.
In fact, I have a young nephew that spent a few years in the Philippines and eventually married a smart and pretty little girl from there.
Two days ago, she earned her American Citizenship papers. I am so proud and happy for those kids.
I suppose the moral of this story is that you can't understand what freedom and happiness is until you actually experience
the loss of freedom and happiness.

Quite a while ago one of my co-workers told me that her Dad went back to PI to get a new wife after her Mother passed away. Her new 'Mom' was younger that she was. I was like, cool you and Mom can share clothes and shoes - she didn't think it was funny.

Happy to hear of a true immigrant following the rules and earning her place in the US (versus illegal aliens). :thumbsup:
As for the moral, another way to say it is, "Americans too often take for granted their opportunities, liberties and government protections."
When I heard that phrase in elementary school, I knew the book definition, but i never really understood what it meant.
I could see how someone would not appreciate the opportunities and privileges of living in America, but I wasn't old enough to see what that translated to in terms of behavior and actions.
We've been calling these people "entitled' now, but I think it all boils down to the fact that, when you didn't have to earn what you have, no matter if it's tangible stuff or rights protected under the Constitution, you take them for granted -- i.e. you feel like that's how it's just supposed to be.
As you said, only those who've experienced actual oppression and limited opportunities seem to appreciate what they have now. Too many have fallen for the "I'm just a victim -- I need to get something for that" trap.

Agreed I'd hate to deal many modern American women, but
I didn't hunt for wives in bars. Think of the song "Paradise by the dashboard lights".
These guys tend to forget the profound cultural differences the two
will have to deal with in addition to the normal marital ups
and downs.
The real issue is quit looking for love in all the wrong places.
Sex is really important, but there is much more to marriage than sex,
although sex is a really good glue for damaged things.
Full disclosure; I married the "girl next door", a neighbor, we were both 21.
I was in the military living off base. We have been married, coming up on 46 years.
We only knew each other two months before we married.

What I've seen from friends who brought women over from other Asian countries is that the culture there usually is one that the wife takes care of the family, husband. Like the womans role in the home is different from the US. Then I know a few guys who brought over European wives and they don't do like how the Asian ones are. These ones typically don't do household work and go out a lot and spend their husbands money. But these are more arm candy/trophy wife looking women.
In the end, one does what makes them happy. For me, being able to have a conversation with a woman is more important than looks. Like we need the same type of humor. Imagine going to a movie and you lol, but your wife silent cause she doesn't get the joke. But to each their own.
