Hifico lawsuit about Big Islands ccw medical waiver. You waive attorney client privilages amongst other things, just to get ur ccw.
Plantiff refused to sign and was denied his ccw.

Until these stupid and invasive regulations get overturned, I won’t bother to apply. If it doesn’t, AINOKEA, I old already.
This is what they expect you to sign.

He shot the qual very well. Hawaii county might have the hardest CCW test in the nation. Also the stupidest.

I can certainly agree with the stupidest. To me, the privacy waiver they want an applicant to sign is unconstitutional.
Waive my attorney client and husband wife confidentiality rights away for five years or for that matter, any amount of time, I don’t think so.

Imagine having to waive even one of your other Constitutionally-protected rights to exercise your 1A rights to worship in your chosen religion, to speak against the government in public or to practice journalism.

Politicians think they are so clever, but policies like that are why there's illegal guns everywhere.

Why is there no background checks for voting?
Seems like a 'common sense" precaution to guard against people with mental health issues casting ballots.
A crazy person voting can impact way more people than a crazy person permitted to possess a firearm.

The county settled and Grell won. They will now issue a permit to acquire by 40 days or less. I mean, it's not like there's a law that stated they needed to do this...
So Hawaii's attitude remains, "F-U, sue us. Until then we will do what ever we want".
