Surefire titan. I love the small size, but wish it was a click type on the tail instead of a twist of the head. It also always comes on default to the lowest setting.

I hate having a lot of stuff in my pockets.  I have a small pen light on my key chain.  I also have lights in various packs, including my main work bag that has a light on the shoulder strap.  I also have the Surefire Titan mentioned above.  Pretty good overall balance of utility and size.

I have one of these mh12s.  I buy it from a friend's side business nitecorehawaii.com.

It's good but bulky.  I'd like one of those pen light models but they don't seem up to the task right now

When I travel I usually carry a Fenix LD15R
Right angle
Rechageable
Can take a CR123 as a backup
Magnetic tailcap
Red light setting as well
Pretty small and pretty bright. Not a tactical light though

For EDC an AA flashlight is a little more comfortable. I have an older simple AA Jetbeam light that will take a regular AA or rechageable lithium AA batter. Not super bright but more than enough but very happy with it.
Don't think they make it anymore.

Been having zero issues with olights for many years now. At the moment I’ve been using the arkfield for edc. I don’t baby the lights and use them often as I work back shift in an industrial setting.

Back up is those little keychain olights.  USB rechargeable.  Saved me a few times when power went out in the head. Lol.

Olight i3E keychain light 90 lumens
around the house I use either a Olight Baton 3, Warrior 2 pro, or Fenix E35 3000 lumen

I also have a rechargeable Olight on my keychain.  Comes in very handy.  Not sure the lumen ratings, but it's dual.

As an aside for Olight, read lots of bad things about lithium-ion battery models.  Haven't read bad reports of NiCad or rechargeable models.

Streamlight Pro-Tac 1.

Under $80 which is good cause I lost 1 in Vegas once. I don't see spending $200 for an EDC light. Same goes with EDC knife.

Under $80?  Should be like half that. . . I have a couple of the 1L-1AA models, but use Lithium batteries.  I think I got those for less than $35.

you should give one to "a friend" that owns no flashlights...

I had a cloud defensive mch which gave me some reliability issues. I got a modlite plhv2 and I’ve been pretty happy with it. In my opinion a flashlight is the most important tool in edc.

Feit Electric rechargeable…

Half the price of a Streamlight Protac 1L (when I got it at the BX), more lumens, magnetic base, and rechargeable.
Downside, no tailcap switch. #NotParticularlyTactical But not a huge deal, since I can’t carry 99% of the time anyway, so less need to be tactical.

If I feel the need to be tactical, Streamlight Protac 2L X.

I carry a Olight Warrior 3S or a Warrior Mini 2, rear support hand pocket. I like my gear to have its own place. my edc knife has its own pocket, and so does my Ridge Wallet and cellphone. I do that disperse the weight evenly around my body.

The Nitecore MH12S light I previously posted broke, it just won't turn on.  So Sean at Nitecore Hawaii replaced it under warantee to their newest model, the MH12SE which I like better as it addresses two issues I had with the earlier one.  The MH12SE is about an 3/4 inch shorter, and it has a hot focused center which throws about twice the distance while still having good spill.  The rechargeable 2150 battery last a long time and 1800 lumens is very bright.

Very satisfied with this one, does everything perfect.
