Title: Lanai mouflon 6th week
Post by: 808Hunta on September 20, 2023, 11:42:30 AM
Cpl of the animals we got. My daughter was all in wanting to learn how to cape, skin, debone. So happy as a Dad to have her hunting with me. And proud of her for how fast she's picking it up. Can't wait for our Africa hunt that'll be the one for sure. Can't wait to see her face lol

This is her ram and my son's ram top pic of the horns. It was growing funky looked like it would've ended up behind its head.

3 worked over factory rifles and 3 customs my bradda. The 308, 30-06 & 300 Wby are factory. The 243 Ackley, 6.5x284 Norma and 6.5 PRC are custom and semi custom.

The Ackely is built off a R700 SA using a fluted bartlein barrel, manners T5a stock w/mini chassis, dbm using alpha 308 Mags, S&B precision hunter scope. I think it has a jewel trigger or BnA tac sport pro

The Norma is a Stiller Predator LA action, ABS cfw with rock barrel liner, manners stock also with mini chassis using accurate 300 wm Mags, S&B PMll scope, TT Diamond trigger w/flat shoe

PRC is built off a Tikka T3x, fluted bartlein barrel, factory stock, bottom metal n mags,
Leupold Mark 5HD 5-25x56 Rifle Scope with PR2-MIL reticle. Have a bunch of after market stuff that came in right before the hunt. So just kept it as is for the hunt it was shooting great so didn't wanna change things.

Aloha

Awesome! Those are some nice setups, and results to match!

Lmk if you can use some .30 cal components. I have lots for your family to test/practice. You too, but you prob enjoy shooting the more unique chamberings.  :shaka:
