Long Island lady reporter investigates all this here now "gun stuff" and comes out with a positive attitude.
From CNN, no less!

(For some, the second video will follow the first automatically.)
Having been born and raiaed in New York City, I myself came from a decided "guns is bad" environment, so it was good to see these reports.

Good report...don't see many like that and from CNN to boot.

A CNN video I could tolerate!

You know the reporter had a rush pulling the trigger! "Do it again. Do it again. Do it again."

I was recently in New York helping after H. Sandy. One of the more interesting observations were the armed home owners on Long Island. There were several instances of these home owners trying to clean up, but knowing the gun laws in NY it was just a little bit odd to see many of them openly armed....guess the cops didn't mind too much 'cause I didn't hear of a single instance of those home owners getting bothered by the NYPD......

I sensed that too.

I was mesmerized by the jiggling in her arm as she was sending rounds down range..... :geekdanc:

Funny, I was, too. Maybe shooting could be recommended as a good excercise on this basis.

I don't know that she was all the way convinced, but With a little encouragement she might be.
Need to get her into a class with more hands on and exposure.
What surprises me is that the report got past the editors. Note though, a sorta disclaimer at the end.
Definitely a step in the right direction. We need all the positive press we can get.

Great video.. thanks for posting this.

i just watched these videos now. it was a good report but right after part 1, the next video clip that automatically loads up is "Vigil held for shooting victims"
I don't know if they did that on purpose or what.

Just tried myself. The first link went auto to the memorial, probably not an accident. Try clicking the second link. It gave me the second half

Whatever you gents do... don't watch a video of yerself shootin' :)
Sistah isn't out of shape - she is remarkably un-tense while she's firing.
Great finds, Terry. I may have to forward them on. Have to watch out for being too pro-gun of FB, though, or I'll just get tuned out.

Right now the first video link I posted autoloads a memorial service and the second one seems to autoload somebody named Django talking about getting guns off the street.
I dunno if you'd call that deliberate counter-propaganda or not. I can't read the site managers' minds as to whether it was deliberate. My suspicion meter reads about 63.8% on that, though.
However, I came across this regarding arming teachers in both Israel and Thailand. (It has its own dash of propaganda at the end so it's not really a news report. Quote it with care and some fact-checking.)
