Michael Talalotu knows firsthand the pain, and devastating consequences, caused by gun violence.
Talalotu is the coach and uncle of Javen Lopez, the 18-year-old suspect charged in a deadly shooting at the Waianae Boat Harbor, and also shot in the incident.
The head coach and owner of The Original Westside Striking says the violence has to stop.
Born and raised in Waianae, Talalotu says he's watched violence grow, and friends and family suffer.
I think the solution is right there in front of them and it wasn't the fault of the gun.

I vividly remember a coach from.that group or similar one in Waianae testifying at the Bill57 hearing. People need to settle things with their fists, not with guns

Maybe people in positions of trust need to teach settling things WITHOUT VIOLENCE. That means any and all kinds of violence.

Anyway the article mentioned it is currently unknown if speed, drugs, or alcohol were contributing factors from the motorist.

Recommend you state what the "narrative' you speak of is, and state what assumptions you are referring to. Otherwise, our interpretation of whatever it is you are saying could be way off from what you intended.

I would joke that the choice of murder weapon depends on whether your chicken won or lost the fight.
You lose, you use a steak knife from Goodwill.
You win, you buy a stolen gun from that bruddah in the lifted Silverado.

There's a fixation on inanimate objects instead of emphasis on mental health.
Good example was the Maine mass shooting. Unbelievable that we would come to say something like this, but it looks like they were waiting and wanting it to happen to further their sick agenda.
And it wasn't the first and looks like it won't be the last.
