Anybody know much about a semi-auto version of AK 15?
I think it would be a better choice than an AR-10 and cheaper

7.62x39 is not at all comparable to 308 or even 7.62nato. and you can buy/build an ar10 for $1k, so in my opinion, an ak15 is a bad alternative to an ar10.

Are you talking about the Russian Ak-15? Where did you find one for sale?

I think Grov is refering to the TR3. I need another AK like I need another hole in my head.
Having said that, I would absolutely buy one if I had the chance. Until Vlad patches things
up with the USA, our best chance would be a TR3 clone built out side of mother Russia.
I believe Arsenal Bulgaria could do it, and so could other sources. Hopefully it will happen
in my life time.

Inability to fire from a folded stock? Well that sucks. Hopefully the clones don't have that "feature" but then again the last time I checked Kalash clones still had a bad reputation for lots of other reasons.
It's funny how the Russians stole all our redneck upgrades though. Thanks for the ideas Amerikanskis!

It is kinda tragic that corruption and mismanagement in the Russian military has led to all sorts of trouble for
Putin's forces. When they bought knock off tires from China for their vehicles and stored the tires haphazardly
it caused a huge traffic jam of their column invading Ukraine. One of the worst examples was substituting
wooden suspension parts in place of steel. I still would like to get my hands on an AK15/TR3. It is hard to
explain but it is sort of like the attraction of collecting the odd things made by humans.
Those familiar with the ak47/74 mag release assy. can see that the stopper seems to have been omitted on the
ak12/15. This can be easily fixed. The deleted stock latch was a questionable cost reduction. As far as the top
cover is concerned, maybe they should have copied the Texas Dog Leg cover. At least it will hold zero and it
has a rail.
