The discount is good through New Year's Eve. I just placed an order for the lifetime version and the code works. I bought the lifetime version ($41.12 after the discount) so that I'll get any future releases of the software for free. Many of us keep track of our gun stuff on the computer, but this software makes it easy since it's tailored for gun collecting.

I checked out the product link. There's a 30-day trial versions for download. It contains some limits that the paid version doesn't, so check out the compare page for specifics.
Also, they mention in their FAQ what I also recommend: skip the JE version. It uses JAVA, and if you've been paying attention, that's now all but obsolete.
Looks like a good product for anyone with more than a couple items in their collection.
