Title: Question regarding long gun permit
Post by: jd0210 on December 26, 2023, 09:35:32 PM
I renewed mine in April, does that mean it still good till April 2024, or does it become invalid starting Jan 1?

Disregard the other guy. Your permit is still good until April of 2024.

I am sorry if I gave wrong information and Motorman has always been a reliable source. This is good news for me as my FFL item doesn't look like it will be here by the end of the year. The FFL holder I use told me my permit will be void after December 31 because of new requirements and he will store my item until I get a new permit.

In regards to the Long Gun permit, what is posted on HPD's FAQ page https://www.honolulupd.org/police-services/firearms/

How soon can I renew my Long Gun Permit?
Not more than 14 calendar days prior to the expiration date.
