Yeah, I thought there was a similar incident recently. WTF is wrong with people nowadays? Seems like they have a lot of idle time on their hands. Was it so they can post on the Tik Tok type of crap on the airwaves nowadays?
Get a f*ckn job or join the Peace Corps or something. Make your worthless lives meaningful.
Or here's a great idea: Join the military and volunteer for a front line MOS. Like they say "Be All You Can Be" instead of the turd you are now.
Maybe you can steal the enemy's ambulances.

I think a possible cause is the drug called social media, plus the lack of morals & punishments.
A lot of people do things for clout or infamy, to get that dopamine hit.
Showing themselves committing crimes or injustices to gain a reputation, regardless of consequence.

Or, it can be the money they gain.
Think of all the medical, communications and safety equipment on an ambulance. All of that can be sold off for cash. The vehicle itself is worth money in a chop shop, or it can be exported to a foreign country for resale like so many others stolen here -- almost all of them never seen by the owners or law enforcement again.
Unless these ambulances are found abandoned later, one would have to assume it was sold -- either intact or in pieces.
Gives a new meaning to "ambulance chasers.'

Coincidentally, there was an ambulance in front of my house this morning.
Th neighbor got sick or something. Nobody died today, yet.

If someone died because they ambulance couldn't respond to a call they should charge the car thief with manslaughter.
-
Even if they catch the thief they probably going slap his wrist and wag their finger at him and say Do not do that again.
You naughty boy/girl/it/thing/turd.
You hear me? Naughty, naughty, naughty.
And that would be the end of it. ::) ::) ::)

I would like to see a SWAT vehicle get stolen while responding to an emergency. Now that feat would definitely give you top dog bragging rights among the criminal element.

I smell a new TikTok challenge

Take it.
Ditch it.
Sweep the medicine cabinet.
-
Both vehicles left unattended, engines running while personnel went inside building for at least 5 minutes. Easy to see why an ambulance can get stolen. May as well put a STEAL ME sign on it.
-
Considering the nature of an emergency call - I can understand why ambulances are left unattended and running. Seconds count.
