Title: Palmetto State - freight forwarding
Post by: tim808 on January 21, 2024, 01:24:54 PM
1/31/24 Edited to add
PSA generally does not follow its shipping policy of needing a freight forwarder for Hawaii.   If PSA does message a freight forwarder, just try again later.

I tried to order a lower from Palmetto and that is ok.  Looks like Non FFL stuff has to be freight forwarded

Anyone order from PSA recently and use freight forwarding?  I tried to place an order but they no longer ship direct to Hawaii and Alaska.  I need to use a freight forwarder.  I’m going to contact PSA tomorrow to get info.

How was the experience using a freight forwarder?  Easy to set up? Any issues/problems?

If it is a pita, I’ll probably have PSA send the package to a relative on the mainland and wait till they visit Hawaii or have them mail it to me

The prices for their complete uppers/lowers, lower kits and deals are very reasonable.  And some stuff is/was free shipping.  I’ve never had an issue with them or their products.

Their value priced stuff makes for great range toys.

Dang.   Just my luck.  I’ve been broke for months and when I finally have money, some stuff I wanted is out of stock and they change their shipping policy

Just called them this morning to confirm this. I wanted to buy a dagger slide and it will have to ship to a freight forwarder. They also wont let me ship it to a friends house in Vegas. They said that the billing and shipping address need to match.

Just have them pack it in the Matson containers with the other 30 tons of illegal fireworks. Then it's all good.

that sucks, was just looking at one of those 13.7" JAKL uppers, very tempting, not that I can afford it, though.

glad I got my PSA Dagger lowers, for $49.99, when I did, got that out of the way.

might as well unsubscribe from their daily emails.

I wonder what prompted the change... ???

So you can still get the JAKL :-)

Only if using a  freight forwarder.

Or buy the whole rifle and they will ship to your FFL

I just ordered from them around Black Friday, and the website had that shipping policy about freight forwarder on there. But I gave it a shot and they shipped directly to my house.

But I only ordered 2 scopes. No actual gun parts. So idk

This is not a new policy, they’ve had that on their site for a while but it hasn’t affected any of my orders, both FFL and non-FFL.

Buy local since they're trying to ban parts as well.

so you mean they will ship direct? basically ignoring their own policy about having to use freight forwarders?

interesting.

so I went on the PSA website, added non-FFL stuff to my cart, and proceeded all the way through checkout to order review, and it seems to be normal.

maybe they have that on their "shipping restrictions" just to CYA.
