Think they are little late to the game. However, at that pricing, I think many will give it a try.
I'm not a big fan of Olight products. I have a few of their handheld lights and they've been ok, but their products to get a bunch of mixed reviews. I haven't encountered a failure on my stuff, but know folks who have had issues, and enough for me to stick with other offerings.
At the price (about $160 for red), I'd be down to give this a try on say a competition pistol or .22 lr plinker rifle. Just bought a CHPWS Comp RDS for my Glock 34, so will be trying to shoot that for the next many months. If I could try this on my P320 or get a 34 MOS to try, but not high on my list of things to try. Most of my guns are direct milled for the RDS.
The magnet recharge feature does sound interesting though. Kudos to Olight for trying something different.

One more thing to bring to the range.
Range to far, range bag too heavy.

I guess, but I a$$umed it was one where the charge is enough for a range day and just need to do it at home. That said, the guy in the initial video mentioned losing a couple of them already.

Gotta be prepared bruh. I bring extra batteries to the range for all my optics. Which is why I got the buttstock that I got for my rifle. Has a compartment in it that fits a battery. My RDS crapped out during an exercise and went to back up sights. then changed the battery without having to go back to the range bag. DId it at the firing line waiting for my next turn.

True and I do keep spare batteries for key stuff, including RDS and when I needed batteries for ear pro. For this Olight, I envisioned it for a plinker or fun gun. But yeah, if a dot were to die even then no bueno.
When I shot a match the other week, I noticed the dot on the EPS wasn't getting as bright as it used to. It was just before the match. I was tempted to just shoot and see how it would do, especially with the solar option. But I decided to swap the battery out. Rookie mistake as I've have this RDS for over a year, but wasn't shooting it that often until recently.

I'm in a private group on FB (alumni from firearms instruction group) and it's getting all sorts of bashing. There's mention of a test posted online that it didn't hold zero, but the poster hasn't produced/cited the video. Other than that, seems mostly brand hating, which seems typical, but none with firsthand testing. I'd be willing to test one, but don't think I'd spend money on one. That said, I do think there are many folks who will give it a try for the lower/ish price, new product, and fans of the Olight brand.
