The story of Ko'olau has always seemed to me like a rather pertinent touchstone in the history of armed self-defense and self-determination in Hawaii.
This film has been made for a while and has been looking for distribution. It is now slated to be released (for streaming rent and purchase) on July 5th.

It stars Jason Scott Lee, and most of the dialogue is in Hawaiian. I do not know if it will be any good.
I will watch and review.
