not so much an "inside job", but perhaps some outside nefarious entity knew of the glaring shortfalls and exploitable vulnerabilities, and perhaps was able to exploit some gullible soul that was being strung along for years with vitriolic hate influencing.  Starting off with Thomas Crooks' 2016 $15 donation to that Dem organization, ActBlue?  you know how it is when you make a political donation, the unending bombardment of single-minded focused email.  a young, socially awkward person looking to belong.  Maybe he drank the Kool-Aid.
