Can my wife and I hold a ccw license for the same firearm? We are both registered owners to all our firearms. :shaka:

If the firearm is Joint registered, yes.
As per Rules of Chief of Police Chapter 15-22(5) (d)
"More than one person may receive a license to carry a single firearm-such as when a spouses share a firearm-provided that each person shall have a License for each firearm
to be carried"

When applying for a CCW at HPD is the cost $150 flat rate for processing? Or is it $150 per firearm you are requesting a license for?

If you are renewing the same firearms as previous permit, $10 fee.
If you are applying for your first permit or expired permit, the fee is $150 total for any and all firearms you have qualified with, good for 4 years.

From what the officer that handled my application told me, the "adding" firearms is within the original 4 year clock. Caution to be specific if/when doing the "adding" process.
However, depending on timing, a new application (with $150) within the last 1-2 years of original permit might be good to consider. Overlap to avoid "lapse in coverage".

How far in advance before expiration can a person their ccw license?

90 days prior to expiration.

How many CCW licenses have been issued so far?
Is blood running in the streets as predicted by Karl Rhoads happened yet?
Only shootings I have heard about is by those either under 21, or with those with a criminal history.

You need to wait for next years AG report.

Watch for news where a person under 21 uses a firearm in a shooting and they trace that firearm to a CCW holder.
Game over. We all know how Rhoades and Hawaii's lawmakers work.
Even law abiding citizens who choose to arm themselves are criminals in their eyes.
But LE can leave their rifles unattended and have their equipment (translation: firearm) stolen.

Thank you.

A few years ago, HI passed a law that a stolen or lost firearm must be reported to HPD within 24hrs or something once it's realized to be lost/stolen. I dont' remember if it's a felony or a misdemeanor, but even now a misdemeanor will lead to no 2a right in Hawaii for 20 years due to the law change last year.
So, articulation is key. If asked "when did you notice the gun was missing/stolen?".

Current CCW expires in a few days, I put in the new paperwork for same 2 firearms about 3 weeks ago, I paid a $150 fee. Was it supposed to be $10?

I'm assuming that you completed the 2024 "New and Improved" Firearms Safety Course and LTC course.

I am also assuming that you got to pay $150 because even though you submitted your application "no earlier than 90 days" prior to the expiration of license, you submitted your application "later than thirty days prior to the expiration of license" .
Since you you submitted your application "later than thirty days prior to the expiration of license", the application became a "New" application and not a renewal.

When is your next class rocky? I need to take ccw requirements.
