Thank the democrats for making our energy more expensive and less reliable.
We should have kept the more economical coal fired power plant in operation until
we got our economy back on its feet but oh well.
One way or another they will lower our standard of living and tell us to look on the bright
side, our lower standard of living will have a lower impact on the world.
Tell that BS to countries like India, China, etc..... What we do in Hawaii has a minuscule
effect if any on the rest of the world.

Ige closed the coal plant that produced 20% of our energy without a back up plan or the current energy methods picking up the slack. All in the name of "climate change".

That is correct. Ige and his fellow demorats passed legislation to cancel the coal fired plant.
It did not matter that we are in a recession. They went ahead and did it any way. A merely
symbolic gesture that will increase the cost of energy to the state that pays the highest rates
in the nation. To make matters worse the battery storage facility in Kapolei was not up to par
due to supply chain issues. The huuuge lithium batteries that are used there will need to be
replaced at rate payers expense. Disposal of the spent batteries will pose a substantial
environmental problem for us.

Who cares about the environment when climate change is planning to kill us all in 5 years?
Or is it 4 years now? 100 years? It changes so often, I can't keep up.

Got one of these recently. Works great, but small sticks work best.

It's been longer than the "next 3 days," but I finally got hit.
Saw notices a few days ago where Walmart area in Mililani was out twice over an 18 hour period. Not sure what the outage durations were.
Mine just went dark about 1:59PM. Estimate for restoration is currently 4:00PM.
Cause is listed as "unavailable".
80 customers affected.

Back on 1 hour ahead of estimate.
i've found that to be normal. HECO gives themselves an extra hour to manage expectations and avoid complaints of missing the restoration estimate.
Just my observation and deduction.
