Aloha again gang anyone know how how to do his? This an uhf radio and trying to get it go work on Grms.

I have a set that cannot “talk to each other”. It seems it needs the cps.

Try using a freq at or below 462.7250.

So, when you say you want a UHF radio to use GMRS, it already does operate within the same shared frequencies 1-22, but you can't access GRMS channels above that.

FRS radios are limited to 2 Watts on channel 1-7 and channels 15–22.  Channels 8-14 are also available for both types, but are limited to 0,5W transmission power.

The big differences are:
1. GRMS can transmit with up to 50 watts on channels 15-22 and above; and
2. GRMS has channels above FRS/GRMS Channel #22.

Even if your FRS/UHF equipment can transmit over 2 watts on 15-22, you still require a GMRS license.
