Not all homicides are created equal.
Some are justified self defense homicides.
Some are law enforcement involved shootings and other types of homicides.
Some are accidental and/or negligent homicides.
From a legal definition viewpoint, a homicide is not necessarily the same as murder.
It would be nice if the FBI would include the types of homicides being included and whether or not they were found to be justified versus wrongful deaths.
People have a certain image when they hear words like homicide or murder. It oversimplifies what should be a more complex classification IMO.

returning to medieval days of yore, I guess back then only The Kings Men were allowed to own swords, 'till about the 1700's, not for the peasants. battlefield assault weapons, how many enemy KIA before you had to reload (i.e. sharpen the blade)?
I guess if a peasant was caught in possession of a sword, they were obviously a domestic terrorist, and probably a white supremacist to boot! since everybody in Olde England was white back then.
so Jolly Olde England going backwards about 300 years. Eventually, they'll get to banning assault rocks.

The problem with the west side and elsewhere is violence.
There is this perception that actions have no consequences. Laws are not being enforced and the revolving door concept is in full swing.
That and the criminals know that although we now have CCW, the laws governing it makes it practically worthless.
The problem is a toxic environment that encourages violence. Do the crime, you do NO time.
And Hawaii's leaders feel the solution is to ban firearms and knives and screwdrivers and hammers and 2X4's and pipes and bats and sticks and rocks and chairs.........the list is as long as the bullsh*t flowing from that building on Beretania Street.

Yea it's a culture of violence there. I've heard it a few times to settle disagreements with fists not guns. It feels like it's a daily part of life there and survival. Guess the stereotype is true.

Sounds like the suspect will claim self-defense from this though it seems like he started the incident and escalated it. Also appears the workers escalated the incident too but hard to say since it's difficult to deal with the homeless.
“Victim one, a 22-year-old male employee, approached the suspect and asked him to stop moving the furniture. An argument ensued when the suspect called victim one a derogatory name.”
According to police, the 22-year-old employee was joined by a 44-year old-coworker, who escorted the man out of the restaurant.
“The argument continued and reportedly victim one punched the suspect who in turn stabbed victim one and two,” added Lt. Thoemmes.

When the illegals were invading back in 2017/18ish, Germans have no guns. So they resorted to medieval weaponry. And the cops/government didn't acknowledge the "no go" zones. Only a year or 2 later to confirm that they do exist.
