I pulled this one from the Hawaii Hunters Education Manual. Please add more survival rules or tips that you know.
There are seven basic rules for survival that will help you.
- Tell someone where you are going and when you plan to return. Leave your hunt plan with family or friends.
- Never hunt alone.
- Carry enough food for two days.
- Take along two compasses and a map of the area. Know how to use them.
- Wear proper clothing and carry proper equipment. Remember that the weather can change.
- Plan your hunt so you can return to your car or camp before dark.
- Know how to build a fire and take proper fire starting materials.

I can roll that list into one thing...... take cellphone, and if that fails then.... walk to payphone. :shaka:
