Title: PSA won't ship 10 round AR mag
Post by: stangzilla on October 12, 2024, 12:46:04 AM
Wow. They won't even ship a 10 round AR mag. Ridiculous   :wtf:

I'll just order from Primary Arms instead

It seems like PSA drop ships parts from other companies. Some of those companies don’t ship to Hawaii period, I’ve so far found that all PSA manufactured items should be fine to ship.

I ran a test to try and purchase a 30rd AR-15 PMag on https://gunmagwarehouse.com

Their shipping restrictions include Hawaii:  no mags over 10rds that fit any pistol.

Attempting to check-out confirmed they won't ship that mag to Hawaii addresses.  I was stopped before entering any payment info.

I tried again with a 10rd AR Mag.  It let me proceed to the payment portion of the check-out process.

For what it's worth.  If you're still looking for 10rd AR mags, PMags are $12.99 and shipping is $4.99 if under 1lb via USPS 1st class.

They offer free shipping on select items but only to the contiguous 48 states.

I ordered a LPVO from PSA bc was on sale. And figured I would add 2 metal 10 round mags for a bolt action rifle bc 30 rounders look ridiculous on a bolt action, IMO. I'll just order somewhere else or just get locally. Magpul pmags will work just fine. I just prefer a metal mag like a Duramag. I like those mags

For mags and stuff, why not shop local at shops that support the cause?  I'm assuming you can afford the price difference.  And even for a bigger purchase, it's prob only a few boxes of ammo price difference.

Remember the mag ban that got defeated a couple years ago and how some people felt kinda silly for stocking up?  :shaka:

What ever it takes for people to have more mags. Although these types of mags def pass the "in common use test" as how it's intended, HI may try to claim Hawaii only in common use, like how CA tried in the 9th.

Mag Ban

After Sandy Hook had settled down and there was a glut of mags ……and I spent $500 on mags.

I hope there is never a mag ban but looking at what happened to WA, CA and CO….i have a bad feeling that Hawaii will have a ban similar to WA where they let you keep what you have but you can’t get more.

So I’m accumulating stuff and gifting to my kids to  register.

Some people like my friend felt silly but I rather have it and not need it.

I still have a lot more to buy…water containers, gas containers, propane tanks, generators, tarps, homes, etc.   My wife and kids think I’m lolo.   But they will appreciate it if we ever need it.

Oahu is going to be chaos if a big event hits.  The City and State agencies aren’t prepared.  If the harbor is damaged and supplies can’t be shipped it will be fun times…..

My relative used to work at the City and after they did some kind of drill with the others agencies, he realized what a shitshow it was…..and soon after  bought a beretta semi auto shotgun and also got a generator

He mentioned that it is going to suck for people that live in areas with overhead power lines cause they will be stuck either at the home or at the shelter till the roads are cleared.

Every mag ban bill had no grandfather clause.

I tried to buy a 20rd M1A Magazine from them recently and they wouldn't ship it, I emailed them asking why they won't since it cannot be used in a pistol. Their response was:

Hello,

Unfortunately, because that rifle could be converted into a pistol and still utilize that magazine we do not ship those magazines to Hawaii.

Please let me know if you have any questions.
Thank you,

I emailed back asking for them to show me one M1A that has been converted to a pistol... still haven't heard back from them

PSA had a good deal on a two pack of ruger mkIV 10rd mags.  I could not complete the purchase so I tried to reach a human since their system has you dealing with an AI.  I ended up reaching Josiah on the ARFCOM PSA industry forum.  He said they go through a vendor who wouldn’t ship here even though it’s legal.  :wtf:

ETA- AIM Surplus will ship here at least as of earlier this year.

The corrupt/wrong AG sent letters to many of these companies.
