Carlton Inada admitted to police last October that he purposely struck 79-year-old Barbara Klein on her recumbent tricycle and then left the scene.
She later died of her injuries.
Inada accepted a plea deal in August and was later freed from custody after serving a year behind bars.
if he had a firearm I'm betting it would have been a different outcome....
