Man arrested after woman set on fire in NYC subway
NY Governor Kathy Hochul has deployed 250 National guard members to protect subway trains.
i listened to this CBS report 3 times, and not once did they say anything about the "suspect". According to the real news reports, the man was in the US illegally in 2018, was deported during Trump's term. He reentered the US illegally and has been staying at an "immigrant facility", aka a former motel converted to house illegal immigrants.

NBC got it right -- he illegally entered the US from Guatemala, was deported in 2018, and then strolled into the country again.

I used to love going to NYC to visit. After watching the video of people standing around and filming while that lady burned to death I don't think I'm ever going back.

I would like to know what kind of material her clothes were made of to just go up in flames from a lighter. The article didn't mention any flammable liquid being thrown on her first. It is winter time and I'm sure several people must have been wearing heavy overcoat to thrown over her to douse the flames. It is really sad how most people will not try to help someone. Especially in NYC, think back years ago to the Kitty Genovese murder.

The official motto of New York City is, "I don't want to get involved."
This is the way.
